Isn't this like a classic villain blunder? I mean eisner doesn't want to be bought out, the yes-men agree, and then when everything falls out from under him and it's his neck on the chopping block he'll be saying it's their fault, at this rate Eisner's villain competancy level is hovering between Dick Dastardly and Gargamel (or was it Snidely Whiplash and Chuckles the pig?)

...why am I happy they turned it down?
Perhaps I just wanna see a better company buy it. =(

Well, of course they'd turn it down. Every indication was they would, since they believe their assets are worth more than the $66 billion, and most independent analysts agree the company is worth at least $70 billion- Comcast will need to sweeten the offer significantly, perhaps with some cash from its shareholder Microsoft.

So what will happen now?
Does Comcast still have a chance?

More like Dr. Drakken and Dr. I. M. Evil, Shogun.. and for good reason too.. the guy wants... (plays evil theme from Austin Powers..) 100 BILLION Dollars to sell off Disney to whoever wants it..
and those 'yes men' include a US Senator (who's Head of the Disney Board.., former US Senator George Mitchell...)
now then don't you think I'm looking at a Time-Warner Coming in next and kicking Eisner's sorry hiney across the floor? and He'll stand up point his finger at Mr. Mitchell and say... "He Did it!"
It's that type of thinking that makes Eisner such an Easy Target to hit.. His brain is so Big he could wear a Bueno Nacho Sombrero The size of a Roof..!:D
but ah yes, just wait Eisner... your comeuppance is coming in 2 weeks.. believe me the writing is on the wall..
and Eisner's too 'Egotistically blind' to see it coming..

........and Eisner keeps sinking Disney deeper, and deeper, and deeper....into the bog.
But dont worry, his days are coming to an end.:D

just because Disne yrejected the bid doesn't mean Comcast is done. They went thru the same thing when they battled for AT&T Broadband.
They're not out of it yet. They have to go back and sweeten the deal. Maybe get cash from Unkie Bill (Gates), who has invested in the company.

Yeah, Zedd reports (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?p=1149025#post1149025) that Comcast continues to maintain that they believe a deal will be beneficial to both actors involved... they're not giving up quite yet.

Does Eisner even have a henchman/goon/evil pet?
Good odds are that even Dick, Gargamel, Snidely and Chuckles are disgusted by Mike.

Actually Antiyonder Eisner does have henchpeople... It's called the Disney Board of Directors.. They're so brainwashed all they do is bob their heads up and down like Dellibobbles.. (you know those little guys/toys you have setting on your car Dashboard, who bob their Heads up and down..)
Does Michael Eisner have a Pet? yes he does.. His Over Inflated Ego, thinking he can win this war.. He Strokes and Pets his Ego every day...:D
and in fact Eisner Makes Frugal Lucre (From Kim Possible) and Cheapo (From Stripperella) Look like Spendthrifts.. Even Cosmo P. Spacely is a Philanthropist!:D
but I'm betting that Eisner does have a Sell off point....(Plays Dr. Evil's Theme again...) 100 Billion Dollars....!
Muhahahaha! :D
just watch... after all I did say a couple months back (Early December) about the Barbarians Storming the castle.. sure enough.. Here comes the barbarians..
Bar.. bar .. barbarian... Bar Bar Barbarian.
Dr. Drakken: Wait, was that a serious Comment Tucsoncoyote was making, or are was he mocking Eisner?
Shego: Yeah, I'd say about 70% serious, 30% mock.
but you get the drift.. he's gonna be history .. time to step down Mr. E, and let someone else with compassion take over the Disney Company ..:D

Alright I watched Fox Financial tonight, and perhaps Comcast's Offer was a bit low, but then again something one of the stockbrokers said tonight made lots of sense....
Sure Comcast might not be able to do this alone.. but what about a Joint venture.. and in fact this could really be done.. Comcast and.....
Well The One thing you might want to watch is Dreamworks Spielberg-Katzenberg-Gelfen... (SKG)
I have a feeling Katz is eyeing Disney, and this could be something that Dreamworks and Comcast could do as a Joint venture..(add to that Possibly Pixar... and you can expect that sooner or later Disney is really going to have to "Fold"
but the point is this.. Comcast Couldn't do it, but maybe Comcast/Dreamworks SKG/Pixar could.. Also you can expect the only thing Eisner now is good for is to try and explain WHY he did it.. that's the key thing that's left to explain..(Why Mikey Why?)
but watch.. I have a feeling between now and Next Monday another attempt by Comcast will be made, and this time they're (Comcast) is going to be calling in the Big Guns..(Dreamworks..)
Oh this "war" is definitely going "hot".. and fast..

The stock went up a bit, $27 vs the $23 per share that Comcast offered but Comcast is still likely to sweeten the deal. So Why am I not surprised at eh rejection? It's a hostile takover bid you numbnuts! Of course Disney gonna reject the deal! Most of the board members are Eisner's cronies anyway. Natually they want to keep their jobs. The real battle will comes at the stockholder's meeting when Comcast will make the offer directly to the stockholders. That's when the fur will fly. Then we'll see who's left standing when the bloodbath is over.

oh believe me JD, I'm not doubting the version you are giving, believe you me this was indded a hostile takeover, but now then guess who might be getting into this fray..
Dreamworks SKG...
No Kidding here folks.. I wouldn't be surprised if Katzenberg gets with Comcast and they BOTH sweeten the deal..
so how will this turn out?
Hard to say.. but it reminds me of my fun poke at Disney when I heard the news Last night on Fox..when one of the remarks was that Dreamworks might get into this mess...and believe me this would make a better parody then the original (and could be turned into an animated short (hey we could market this and put it onto DVD!):D who knows maybe we'll win an oscar! :D But here's my fun Little Poke at This whole war going on...
Disney Zero Wing.....
Narrator: In 2004, War was beginning.....
(An explosion is heard outside the Burbank Studio Offices of The Walt Disney Company)
Michael Eisner : What happen?
Robert Iger (head of ABC Broadcasting): Someone set up us the buyout!
George Mitchell (Head of the Board of Directors at Disney): We get signal.
Michael Eisner: What???!
George Mitchell: Main screen turn on.
(Jefferey Katzenberg aka "Katz" of Dreamworks SKG Appears on screen)
Michael Eisner: It's you!!
Katz: How are you gentlemen!!
Katz: All your Disney are belong to us!
Katz: You are on the way to resignation/termination.
Michael Eisner: What you say?!!!!
Katz: You have no chance to survive! make your time!
Katz: Ha ha ha!!!!!
(in the next room Bugs Bunny is seen Holding an Artist Pen): Ain't I a Stinker?:D
