My girlfriend is going down to Lexington, Kentucky on business in the next couple weeks. Are there any good comic book stores with collectibles & apparel located in proximity to the University Of Kentucky.

Perhaps the folks at the Comic Book Board would have a better idea here. I'll move the thread as of now.
You could always check the phone book online, too - I've done that before and it actually provided me with a number of area comic books stores.
Thread Moved.

Well, I'm not from Kentucky, so I can't vouch for any stores there personally, but you can always use the Comic Book Store Locator Service to find a comic book store in the area. Click on the logo below:

I use to live in Lexington, KY. They have PLENTY of good comic book stores. As I recall, they have one called "Collectables Etc." (or something like that) which has 2 locations in Lexington. Take Interstate 75 down to exit 104, get off their, heading into town. That road is called Richmond street, I believe. You stay on that street, heading into town, till you pass Manowar road. Past that, you see a small street called Locust street, turn right on it...Collectables Etc. is in that shopping center on the left side of Locust st. before you get to the movie theatre at the end of that street.
Another way to arrive there is to get off of Interstate 75 at Exit 108, head into town that way going down that road. That's Manowar rd...you take that till you arrive at Richmond rd, then turn right...then turn right again upon getting onto Locust st.
I'm not sure where the second location for Collectibles Etc. is...but it's closer to the middle of town.
Another good store is actually pretty close to the University of Kentucky, (which you mentioned). I forget the name of it, but it's on Waller Ave. You head down New Circle rd, (which circles the entire town, you can't miss it) till you get to Nicholasville Drive. Turn on that, and head downtown, towards the University of Kentucky. Then when you get to Waller Ave., turn left on it, and drive down it...there will be a shopping center on the right BEFORE you get to the next big hwy rd: Harrodsburg rd. The store is in that shopping center on the right.
The other way to get there is to get off of New Circle rd at the Harrodsburg exit, take it into town, and turn right onto Waller Ave., then turn left into that shopping center...
Hope that helps. ;-)

That place on Waller is called Comics Interlude. I just stopped there about two weeks ago and I'd highly recommend it. They have a great selection for a Kentucky store.
I used to live in Richmond and would go to Comics Interlude, the Collectibles Etc. stores (I think the second one is almost on campus, I know there's a store there right by where Tally Ho's was) and Red Rock Collectables (closed or at least moved now). There's also a great store in nearby Frankfort, Moonlite Comics and Models, if you are going that way.
Here's some phone nos:

Thanks for all the help. Courtesy of maps @ msn, Waller ave is my best bet.
Its not too far from the University & its in a shopping centre. Two birds with one stone.

I forgot to point out before that Comics Interlude isn't open on Sunday's now, just in case that's a problem.

The gf managed to make it to Comics Interlude. With pictures of comic t-shirts and transformers in hand she was on a mission.
Sadly, Comics Interlude didn't have the t-shirts I was looking for, Batman, Justice League, Shazam or the old school Superman. What they did have was the Kingdom Come Superman t-shirt, which she purchased.
Unfortunately, my friend ordered us the same shirt only a week ago.
Oh well. Better luck next time. Thanks all for your help.
