How long do writers usually stay on a title?

I would assume it would depend on sales and the company, but what is the norm? Or is there no real set limit?

There is no limit. A writer can be on a book for its entire span, a year, an arc or just a single issue. It depends on the availability of the writer, what the higher-ups want, how the sales are doing and what the fans what.
