This episode gave me plenty of laughs. But looking at it retrospectively I would say that it was a good episode. Generic plot where the bad guy tries to get his hands on a major weapon with some decent occasional action. All in all I think it was a pretty good episode considering it was from the 60's.

Is that picture of Doc Ock or Jack Nicholson? What happened to the bowl cut?
Here I am - fashionably late for one of my own talbacks...

Nope, that's actually pretty close to the way they drew him in the early Spider-Man comics. :D If anyone is interested in the early comics, you should take a look at the Essential Spider-Man books. Volume #1 is good if you are interested in the Doctor, it has reprints of ASM #3, 11, & 12, as well as ASM Annual #1 which features the first appearance of the Sinister Six, which are his earliest appearances in the comics.
As for this episode ... I thought it was good, but I didn't like it as much as the other Ock episode, The Power of Doctor Octopus. Part of the reason for that is the change of voice actors. Unfortunately, the credits for the episodes don't indicate which voice actor played which role, but if you listen to the two episodes, the voice is clearly different. I don't understand why they would have changed voice actors for the same part - both episode aired in season one!
I watched this episode again after reading the current Spectacular Spider-Man arc in the comics, and I thought it was interesting to see that in this episode, Ock uses a dummy that looks like him to lure Spider-Man into attacking while he escapes with the Nullifier to another location - take a look at SSM #7!
