Well as Posted in the "News Ticker" section of toonzone.net, Disney and Claire Milne (Grand Daughter of Winnie the Pooh's Creator A.A. Milne) Lost their Appeal to have the rights to Winnie the Pooh by the Slesinger Family thereby giving the Slesingers the Right to withhold Winnie, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger from being used by Disney.. anyway how do you feel about the verdict considering Winnie the Pooh on average pulls in 3-6 Billion dollars in Disney Profit and also how would Eisner feel if 20% of his annual 25 Billion Dollars was in Jeopardy of being withheld?

Well here we go again...

Just yesterday Disney gets their Appeal for Winnie the Pooh Yanked by the 9th District Court of Appeals and now Eisner's facing the wrath of Roger Rabbit..

According to the News Ticker.. Gary Wolf, Author of the famed book, Who CENSORED Roger Rabbit? is now after Eisner to the Tune (or is it Toon? ) of 5% of all reported income since the Movie was released in 1988..and when you are talking 5% that's a Lot... considering who Framed Roger Rabbit Amassed well over 300 Million at the box office and uncounted amounts at the DVD and Video sales..(We could be seeing that Mr. Wolf, might get a rather nice check to the tune (or is it Toon?) of 25 Million Dollars (after all Sales of Video/DVD and Box Office Take has approached half a Billion dollars
for this Touchstone Flick..)

You can read about the Report in the news Ticker, and it's been posted up by Maxie Zeus..

so now we could say that Disney is facing a New TV thrill show.. When TOON Animals Attack!

well that will teach Eisner not to get so Greedy and keep the Hunny pot from the author's and Creators of said movies and shows!.. :D After all Toon animals can be just as ferocious as well! :D

What's with Gary Wolf? Did he recently realize he got ripped-off, or was he waiting for a good moment?

Well apparently it Looks Like Mr. Wolf had a Complaint with Disney Already.. and in fact because most likely because of what Happened with the Slesinger Family and the Winnie the Pooh case, the Same Appeals court has turned around and now has said to Gary Wolf... "Yes, you Do have a Case.."

(taken verbatim from the "News Ticker" Post)

The California Court of Appeals has reinstated a Lawsuit by Gary Wolf, author of Who Censored Roger Rabbit? who is claiming that the Walt Disney Company owes him 5% of the Licensing revenues off of the 1988 Movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

After doing further research, Dudley, I came up with How long Mr. Wolf Has been Dogging Disney for that 5%.. The Initial Lawsuit was filed on June 1, 2001, and that was 13 years since the summer 1988 release.. and in fact it seems that the case has a very viable legitimacy as this was based off the Novella, Who Censored Roger Rabbit?

So it appears that because the fact that The Pooh Case was lost by Disney and Claire Milne (A.A. Milne's Grand Daughter) , Wolf's Case got re-instated... and now Eisner has another Rabid Toon animal to face...go figure..

The greedy Disney Company should just give people what they're owed and stop ripping them off. When it comes to stuff like this, Eisner and co. deserve every bad thing they get.

I don't think people should load up on Disney Pooh stuff, but should boycott it instead!

Who wants to bet that Disney loses the rights (however limited by the children's hospital that really owns it) to Peter Pan next?

To Tobias: if I were a Gambling man, I would bet 5 bucks they would Loose this appeal... to Mr. Wolf... and I would stake another 5 bucks that Peter Pan would be the next.

To mac: if Disney is wise, they shouldn't be ripping off folks like this and I think a boycott of ALL disney products would be in order...(no Pooh, No Kim Possible, not even buying a Classic Video) after all a Way to Hit Eisner is to hit him in the place that hurts the most.. Namely his Money Belt for everything he sells!
