I like the new Evangelions

Yes the designs for the Evangelion 2 game, they are fully armored and more imposing than the originals. Ya know i'd really like to see a complete Evangelion remake not just a remastered edition, I mean really they make a new series that features the Eva 2s they could incorporate the plots of the movies into the series, and could really balance out the series and rework the parts that were blegh.

The new PS2 game is a retelling of the story, so it's probably the closest thing to a true remake we'll ever see, not to mention the manga which I would argue has superior storytelling.

I think the Evas needed more armor so they wouldn't break their vitals that easily, I mean if they took the best parts from all sides of eva and combined them into one series, they could easily outdo the original. kinda like Ultimate Evangelion

Its not armor, its F-type equipment. It augments the AT Field increasing the EVA's defensive power. Only Unit 01 gets the F-type in the game.

Umm, thats what the Mass Production Evas were. They regenerated, had unlimited power, each equiped with a Longinus Lance.... what more do you need? They were pretty much indestructable.M<P Evas where only in the movie, and their faces looked stupid...infact they didn't even have faces...they had wings wich didn't really work for their look.

The new WETA designs are also quite good as well.EVA Unit 01 with the F-type equipment is on the cover of the January NewtypeUSA. Imagine Unit 01 with larger things coming off its shoulders, another shoulder-looking thing coming out of its chest, and some more armored legs.

I'd get a scan if I had access to a scanner.

if the AT shield is so great and stuff why dont they get protected all the time lets see! they get granades blow up in the face chop down everything and nothing happens to the pilot and dosent suppose the at field to protect them from that

Eva gives many examples, like the recent videogame, the movies, the figures....and I'm sure if it rouses them and their in the mood they could do a re-telling of Eva or a restart, I mean even the LA movie has it's own contnuity....

True. But the chances of it picking up where it left off is very unlikely. And when it come to remakes,there will be lots of changes that won`t sit well whit old schoolers. I don`t know much about the LA movie. So how is it different?

If any other proporties(Transformers, Gundam, etc.) show as examples, to create a new continuity, it basicly doesn't sit well with some long time fans to begin with, yet it wins over much more new fans...
