My cartoon IQ was prolly pretty low at the time. I can only remember some distinct shows. Like...Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?

Speed Racer is from the 60s, not 80s. It's one of the first animes to ever reach stateside and had a LEGENDARY English dub that everyone parodies. Dexter's Lab had my favorite take on it.


I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. That's kinda like saying you never heard of Bugs Bunny or The Flintstones.

It's been forever since I last watched the show I used to be a huge fan of the series when I was younger.

btw, I don't think Speed has a big enough audiance to take on something like Inital-D. Im sure it will be picked up soon, but not by Speed lets just prey MTV doesn't decided to get any more animes.
