Bad Ending? Like you can come up with better...

...and I believe that most of us here CAN. Despite the rashness of the title, this is very much a great question. I read the post that listed everyone's opinon of a good anime with a bad ending. Well here's the deal:

If you were in charge of the anime with a bad ending, how would you improve it? We've all seen those endings that were either too fast, really cheesy, anticlimactic, or overall lacking. And with many of these creative minds on this board, I'm positive that we can create the endings that should have been.

So what say ye, young bards? State thine tale of woe, and then craft from within it the finale worthy of your pen? What dost thou wait for? EXCELSIOR!

Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou (Kare Kano): The ending was TERRIBLE, and I wish they would've kept the series going, since the comic is still going.

Dragonball Z: I wish that Goku would've stayed with them, and everyone would live happily ever after.

Dragonball GT: I wish that everyone didn't have to die, leaving Pan as the only remaining "original" cast member. I know people get old and die, but, c'mon, not in cartoons! I also wish Goku didn't get on Shenlong and leave everyone... Bah, who am I kidding, I wish GT never existed! Since Akira Toriyama had nothing to do with it, I consider it as an alternate universe, or a "what if".

Hikaru no Go: I wish they just did a few more chapters of the manga, letting Sai return, and everyone living happily ever after - and then I wish that they would animate the rest of the comic, so the cartoon would be complete.

Spiral: NO explanation, AT ALL, for most of the things discussed in the series, such as Ayumu's brother, and the Blade Children. The comic is still going, and I really wish they would continue animating it, too.

Fruits Basket-Although I haven't read the manga yet (though i'm eagerly awaiting it's american release) I wish that this series had been longer. So much was left out. In the end we don't know what becomes of anybody, How the sohma's contracted the curse, How it can be broken, we definitely needed WAY more info on akito. So I would add more episodes.

Trigun-Vash kills knives

Escaflowne-I think everyone who has seen this knows what would have made this ending better.

Either van kisses hitomi before she leaves and END IT THERE, no scenes of her being sad in japan. That's my preferred ending. Or she stays, not my preferred, but still better than it is at present

DBZ-I probably wouldn't have stopped it at the cell saga. I really liked quite a few episodes in the saiyaman saga. I DEFINITELY would have had gohan defeat Buu. After all, he reaches a level past ssj3 and it's pointless, because he gets beaten. That was just wrong.

I would definitely disagree with icer on eva. Although it has a lot of religious symbolism, the fact that it's religious really doesn't mean much. Any person knowledgable of religion will say that while names are used, context or meaning or anything else is not.

Gundam SEED

Spoiler:

Leave most of the first act intact. When Kira and Raww are still fighting and Athrun and Cagalli have finished trying to stop Athrun's father at Yakin Duue, Earth Alliance begins one more run on launching a nuclear attack despite the death of Azrael. Athrun and Cagalli are distracted by it and try to stop it. They are successful in destroying most of them, but two successfully hit two other PLANTs. Both are shocked by it but must stop Genesis.

As they head to Genesis Raww, senses them and blocks their way of getting in, he sees Strike Rouge, and is filled with some sense of irony that Fllaga is still trying to stop him. He opens his funnels on Cagalli and she can't keep up with them destroying most of Strike's weaponry. Athrun intervenes to stop them but as Raww continues to stave them off he comments to Athrun "Your father did a really good job with this work." and continues to stop them. Kira rams into Raww as they head toward the tunnel that leads to the Genesis' core. The door is then sealed off and Athrun is then busy with other people that are trying to attack him. It isn't helped when he's trying to protect a destroyed Strike Rouge.

Kira and Raww have the final battle within the core, and it ends similarly. But Kira, knowing of his destiny as he thrusted his beam saber into Raww, also sets the detonation timer. As Providence explodes, Freedom self-destructs. While he is doing this, Athrun tries to destroy the amplifier of Genesis (The floating thing that makes the beam reflect on the mirror) by sending a selfdestructing Justice toward it. The scene plays out somewhat like in the final episode, but Athrun sets the Justice's thrusters and self-destruct toward it and escapes with Cagalli's Strike Rouge. The beam is fired, but it's not able to amplify as the Freedom has destroyed its' core and the Justice has destroyed what would amplify its' power.

It ends somewhat similarly, but as the people think of victory, Lacus asks where's Kira. Athrun says "Kira...? He's... He's...", still confused until he realizes that Kira had self-destructed the Genesis. Everybody is sad while ZAFT announces its' surrender. Cagalli and Athrun embrace as Torii finds a way out of Archangel. Kira's apparition appears to all of them. They look at him in awe with tears in their eyes as Kira apologizes for what he did. In the end, he did it for all the people of this world. Cagalli calls him a coward, but Kira just smiles sincerely at her while "Find the Way" still plays. He says to Athrun and Cagalli, "you now carry the future." and drifts away with Torii flying around him.
Cagalli after crying, begins to smile as well as Athrun while Kira looks intently at the Earth.

He then ends it like in the final episode "This is... our world."

Not the best I can think of but there you have it.

That and also make up a better way to kill BelialVamdemon. I wanted the Digimon to blast him to oblivion, the reason they won was because all the kids just started to go against him saying "yes I can" or something with their dreams.

Blue Gender. Take everything from when Marlene finds out the truth about Yuji and trow it out the window. Preserve to role of Tommy in some way and foucs more tightly Yuji and Marlene's situation as they prepare to aproach earth. Get back tothe very slow and tightly controled pace of the first 13 eps, even if it requires adding on another 6-8 eps of animation.


Remember, with alot of shows like Spiral they proved to be unpopular and got canceled. Shame to as I thought it was a greta mystery show. Made it to about episode 10 before the club stopped watching it. Othes like Kare Kano had staff issues and ran out of time in the bedget they had to work with and the demands of the broadcasters to keep it in the season.

Definitely agree on that. IMO, the Cell arc (besides the tournament episodes in the original Dragon Ball) is the best arc of the entire Dragon Ball saga, and I personally feel that the end of that arc should have been the end of the saga all together.

Hellsing, remove Incognito ENTIRELY.

Another thing that I agree on. Personally, I would have ended the Hellsing series with a final showdown between Arucard and Anderson.

Fushigi Yugi: Void all the OAV's out of this plane of existence. Kill Tamahome, keep Hotohori and Noriko, add a bit to the ending where Miaka returns to the book to use her Suzaku wish to bring back those killed in the fighting, including Tamahome. This way Miaka gets her boy toy, the people who should be alive are, and most important of all there's no ******** story to screw it up.

Tenchi in Tokyo: Absolutely no hugs or touchey-feely dialogue for defeating the super villian, please. Of course, even if they had a good fight at the end the series would still suck, but what can you do...

Fruits Basket: Its just too good to end. Bring on season 2 and animate the entire manga!

Trigun: Have Vash DESTROY

Lacus and a head of the Earth Alliance discuss negotiations for peace.

Murrue visits the graves of Mwu and Natarle, and places flowers on both of them.

Athrun and Cagalli are at Aube bringing the country back to its' legs. Athrun gazes at the sky and wonders about Kira. We then see (a'la the ending of Gundam X) the remnants of Genesis, Freedom, and Justice.

Big monster beast then rids the earth of those pesky humans, especially those stupid, annoying villagers. Everyone in outer space dies except for Senator Miyagi. Back on earth, the big monster beast destroys all traces and signs of the show having ever existed.

I think that works better.
