Irresponsible Captian Tylor..
It doesn't end -_- I WANT MORE TYLOR ANIME!!!!!!!!!
It was just as bad as Big-O...
Here are some of my nominees...
Trigun (didn't resolve the plot very well)
DBZ (it was somewhat fitting, but it dragged on)
DBGT (too sad)
Kikaider (too vague)
Blue Gender (not spoiling it, though)
Outlaw Star (too rushed)

Something to think about.

Might clarify that you mean the OVA series.Originally Posted by Galvatron

I loved the end to Tylor TV (even though I haven't seen the OAVs and movies that follow). Everything seems to come full circle with that ending! (well, without spoiling anything)Originally Posted by Galvatron
As for Nadesico, I wholeheartedly agree.
Another ending I would throw in the ring would be to Senkaiden Houshin Engi (er, Soul Hunter). Lets just say that after ep. 21, it is mostly cliches and stuff for people who read the manga, even though there are a couple good moments...)
StrangerAtaru: Just another one of those weirdo lurker guys with a screwed up mind and a Zako army at his command
G Gundam. Worst ending ever!
And at least Kikaider 01 went out with a loud bang. Damn WS for editing it.
I like most anime endings, but there were some that i didn't like that much at all. Those were:
-Evangelion (one of the worst anime endings in history of anime)
-DBZ (it ends with goku going off to train someone, what a wonderful ending! *end sarcasm* )
- Kikaider OVA and TV (Both were very unclear endings)
Favorite endings:
-Vandread (kicked ass! wonderful ending to the series, just wish there was more!or at least a movie!)
-Bebop (one of the best anime endings of all time)
-Trigun (pretty good ending)
-Slayers NEXT (one of the best endings of all the Slayers seasons and i don't see how you couldn't like this series's ending)
Currently buying: Gun Sword, Black Cat, Shana, Negima, Tsukoyomi Moon Phase, Best Student Council, Case closed season 2+3
On the lookout: School Rumble, Tsubasa, AMG s2, Keroro Gunso
A couple of endings that were disappointing to me:
-His and Her Circumstances (another Gainax show that lacks an ending)
-Hellsing (what, no final showdown between Arucard and Anderson?)

Ah, yes, DBZ. A great show that had 2 great fake endings, but a crappy real one.
I can't say that any anime I have taken the time to see through to the end has been bad. I kind of was let down by the end of Sailormoon Sailorstars. I mean, it was great, but Usagi's monologue at the end was kind of eh. I don't know, it was good, just not the best ever, and certainly not one that I would remember word for word.
Best ending in anime would have to go to Shoujo Kakumei Utena, hands down. It was fantastic and absolutely heart breaking, somewhat ambiguous, and yet compltely fulfilling to me as a viewer. I really really love that show. The last arc of that show had to have been one of the best I've seen in any show, let alone just SKU. Then again, I pimp SKU whenever I can...
The ending of the SKU movie, however, was another story. It was completely different, and great for the movie storyline, but in the end I felt a bit cheated. I mean, come on, Akio is the HUGE villain of the series and yet the movie only has him come in at the very end, and he's a push over to boot. Blah! They destroyed a great villain in that movie, just so Shiori could take his spot as the main plotter and schemer, I guess. Can you tell I'm a bit bitter?
Still a great movie, but in comparison to the show, it's no contest.

I'd say the majority of animes end either badly or without wrapping up the majority of questions brought up.
Here's a few that stick out in my mind:
Nadesico-Loved the series, laughed, cried, but no solutions
Fruits Basket-My new favorite series. Love it to death. NO EXPLANATION WHATSOEVER ABOUT THE CURSE OR HOW TO END IT!!
Trigun-Ended a bit too soon.
There are tons more, but I don't feel like listing them all right now, maybe someday I will.
Although most of them don't have the ending we wish for, I have no regrets watching the series. Endings are just hard to do, most american movies and series do them badly too, so I'm used to it.

I'm gonna sleep this off like a baaad hangover

Silent Mobius. I'm a big fan of this show, but it ended before it could solve anything. It was a giant dissapointment to see them flash "2026: The Final Battle Begins."(or something like that) and then that's it.

I still think they should have ended Sailor Moon around the end of 'Sailor Moon S'.Originally Posted by Jade_GL

I can tell you why I don't like it. It rushed. Incredibly. Pretty much everything from Gaav's appearance on moved entirely too fast, with no explanation, like the series creators were in a hurry to get it over with.Originally Posted by Anime Freak
And yes, DBZ's ending does suck. I'm still among the ranks who can't figure out why the hell Chichi stays faithful to Goku. they shoulda just cut the damn thing at the end of the whole Namek ordeal.
I don't know how the anime for Cyborg 009 ends, but the manga..well...never finished. Apparently the creator died before finishing the last story. The ORIGINAL ending to the manga, however, was absolutely incredibly in its bittersweetness.

No, both SuperS and Sailorstars were important to Sailormoon, and Sailorstars was my favorite season by far. It had the best villains, better animation (S had some really crappy animation up until the final episodes, with people looking deformed and just plain strange), great music, and it ended well as a series overall. However, like I said, the ending monologue was just so.... obvious to me. It lacked something. I think that after seeing the amazingly powerful stuff that happened in the prior 4 episodes, it was a major let down after all that the senshi had been through.Originally Posted by Mekairinek
Still, it shouldn't have ended at S> S was fine, but the manga continued and broadened the SM universe, so I think the anime should have followed.

A couple of comments:
-Evangelion: The ending wasn't that bad! I actually liked it in my own weird way. (The TV ending that is)
-DBZ:Spoiler:
StrangerAtaru: Just another one of those weirdo lurker guys with a screwed up mind and a Zako army at his command
I have to throw in Escaflowne for the worst ending. That ending just pissed me off.I remember actually yelling at the TV, lol.
But by far Azumanga Daioh has been the worst ending for me, not because it ends bad... but because I wanted more, a lot more and I knew there wasn't going to be any.So I had to watch the series over again from the start. :anime:
