Yesterday, I got Project Arms, Volume 4. And today the Outlaw Star Boxed set I ordered came. But I'm going to be taking a break from anime purchases. So I can put all of the money from my job in my bank account, and bring it up to a little over 1,000 dollars (which should take about 2 more weeks)

I picked up the "Alternative World" boxed set for El-Hazard a couple weeks ago. I'm gonna rewatch the original "The Magnificent World" OVAs and that mediocre four-episode OVA with that "other" goddess of destruction. Then I'll sit down and watch "Alternative World". I'm not gonna bother getting "The Wanderers". I hate all that alternative re-telling TV version bullcrap like they did with Tenchi Muyo. El-Hazard is one of my fave old-school Pioneer-AIC series.

I didn't get it this week, but I only started watching it this week: Samurai Deeper Kyo. Kinda cute, kinda confusing--like a cross between Berserk and Inuyasha. Yukimura--grrrowl .

I picked up Samurai Deeper Kyo volume 1 when it came out and really like it. Can't wait till volume 2 comes out.

This week I haven't picked up any anime yet, but I will probably pick up X TV volume 1 just recently got into the series after watching a few subs.

Lupin the 3rd: The Secret of Mamo - Haven't watched it yet, but I'm of the opinion you can't do wrong with Lupin.

Gravitation Manga Vol. 1 - The words "hits close to home" instantly come to mind after reading this. I may not be gay like Shuichi, but I really feel a connection to the rest of his character. Not only is he a musician, but he's same kind of musician I am. We both write electronic music, we're using computers and synths to do so and we've both passed on oppertunities to further our career because of moral issues. It's really quite eerie. I've done marathon sessions to write stuff for talent shows and gigs, I've worked long nights at a dead job to support my craft, I've sat at the computer tweaking demos for hours on end, and at points I've held the view of "music over romance", just like Shuichi. I kinda of felt a connection to Shuichi in the Gravitation anime, but the manga is at points is almost exactly like what I've been through. I can't wait for the next volume.

Didn't plan too, at this time, but I got Lupin III Secret of Mamo since it was only $22 at Best Buy

I picked up Berserk Vol. 1 and Escaflowne Vols. 1 and 2. I already have them for myself, but they're a birthday present for a buddy of mine. The store I work at is having a super anime clearance sale thingie, so I can afford to be a little bit extravagant in his present. (-:
