It seems that Kids WB Pokemon episode 351 (The Psychic Sidekicks) is not airing this season. Is there something they don't like about this episode, or are they just delaying it until August or September?
The one with the girl and her giraffe-type pokemon? There's really nothing bad in it, animation-wise... I'm guessing it's just being held for the summer or US season 4. I just packed my videos, so I can't double-check on it right now...
In the past, Pokemon episodes have been held back for one or more of the following reasons... prominient references to Japanese holidays, Kojiro's bikini scene, excess # of signs just needing to be painted over b/c US kids apparently can't handle foreign writing... And there were 2 holiday episodes that were delayed. I think in Japan too, as they were slated for follow-ups to the Porygon episode and the show was off the air until April 1998. Anyway, I only noticed 2 cuts back when I bothered with the dub, one dialogue change (the "Kanghaskhan Kid" is not really asking if "Misty" is a human. oooooooooooh no. )...
And the two episodes from the first season that haven't been aired?
The gun use in "Dratini" is excessive, amusing, and takes up at least 5 minutes of the episode... Including the Rocket motto. So, it may just not be enough to salvage- given the running time and all....
"Porygon"- I've only sat through it once so far- small tv screen, standing up some distance away... and the flashing lights did give me a headache. But the stark black Scifi-y backgrounds are great! The whole episode is... But the rapid change between various colors against the dark b/g... done in the same flashy shift that some of the show's animation is... It's a truly, truly awesome effect but one that's perhaps a little too intense for human senses. I just have to figure how to minimize my headache before I consider watching it on my parent's big screen tv this summer... There is no doubt in my mind that it won't get dubbed for KWB. It's the PR risk from hell and the episode appears to be banned from circulation in Japan. I know Chinese film comics (ep stills presented in a manga format) don't include that episode... same would apply to Japanese ones I think.

Is that the line you mentioned once about
Spoiler:
breast-feeding? Oh, come on. Apparently the dubbers don't realize a lot of kids own dogs and have watched puppies nurse countless times, so therefore they are somewhat familiar with that aspect of life.

I wonder if dark glasses would help...works for the Men in Black. Which brings me to an odd question: suppose one of the witnesses to extraterrestrial phonomenon happened to wear shades? Would he be immune to the neuralizer, or do only MIB-issue glasses ward off the amnesia effect?
Another odd thought: someone once likened Cartman's mom on South Park to Delia Ketchum...so while watching ComCent tonight, I thought it would be a riot to, in a Pokemon/SP crossover, have Ash, Misty and Brock attempt to carry on a conversation with Timmy.

Somehow I don't think that crossed the dubbers' minds. The "Kanghaskhan kid" asks "Misty" specifically and the focus of the 'camera'... You don't even see her face. And of course, then we have Papa opening his shirt- maybe volunteering? After having sat through some Dragonball subs, I'm pretty sure the KK was inspired by Goku. What I've seen of DB featured excretion, the runs, nudity, panty-crazed maniacs, gas... And Goku's tactful and well-informed inquistion on why Bulma had an extra rear end on the other side of her body.

I can picture them trying to maybe catch Timmy, thinking he's a Pokemon. And of course, then the Rockets would come into the picture and try to steal Timmy. The question is, would Ms. Cartman hit on 'Brock' and would he continue after discovering he/she's a herm? Actually, I heard of a project being developed by the SP guys and some Pokedub VAs...
And while I'm at it... I once doodled a Star Wars/SP crossover. With Ms. C entertaining Chewie, Jesus getting into a fight with Vader and freaking when he realizes it's not Satan he's up against... I'm pretty sure my mom dumped it.
More? Well, I have had this idea of SP kids becoming digidestined... The 3rd movie had Wallace, a kid from Colorado whose monster made fun of how fat his mom was. So, it'd start with Wallace moving to another part of the state, i.e. South Park. And then his classmates turning out to be DDs... Stan- courage and friendship, Wendy- kindness, Ms. Cartman- light(from when she tried to bite off the source of "Myotismon's" power), Cartman- hope.. and that's all that's come up in my twisted head so far.

That's about what I was thinking...like a Pokemon, Timmy can only repeat his own name ad nauseam, and the kids have never seen a mentally crippled person before. "Where have I seen that blank, uncomprehending stare before?" Misty muses before she summons the Timmy of Pokemon, Psyduck. Then after the Rocketeers show up, they effortlessly steal the new "Pokemon"...only to bungle it when James trips and falls over, letting Timmy's wheelchair go rolling down a steep precipice. "That Pokemon obviously isn't right in the head," Jessy snarls as she kicks James a few times. "What's your excuse?"

You have to respect the kid's honesty, that's for sure. He knows what he wants and has no qualms about asking directly.

I've heard of being biased...but that's ridiculous. A girl like that could give Kendra Jade a run for her money.
Brock and Mrs. Cartman......well, I recall a FanFic that suggested her condition is the same reason it ended between Brock and Ivy.
If that's the case I don't think his psyche is strong enough to take it...he'll end up huddling in his fetal position turning blue in a rubber room with a jacket that zips up the back.
Cartman as hope--that's irony. Halfway through their first fight with the forces of evil: "Oh! That's it! You [expletive deleted]s can go yourselves get killed fighting Carmen Sandiego and the mummy. You, hyeeaaaah, me, myeeaaah!"

Leading up to a scene where Satan, BG Al and Mr. Garrison stage an intervention.

I think that's more of a result from living among pokemon instead of people... Same goes for Goku. I really shouldn't bring up the underwear incident but it's up-front, perversely logical and downright disgusting. I really didn't need to know why male laps make better pillows.
Brock and Mrs. Cartman......well, I recall a FanFic that suggested her condition is the same reason it ended between Brock and Ivy.
I think I sent you the URL... But it was a bit different. Ivy was all man- with the infamous bikini top or something. Ms. C is both.

Spoiler:
Ms. Cartman: "I'll make you powdered donut surprise."
Cartman: "Buuuuuuuuut maaaaaaaaaawwwwwwmmmmmm..."
Stan: "Dude, we have to stop them or... What was it again?"
Mummymon: "Archenimon will love me forever and ever and we'll have a beautiful house and garden... Like sisters!"
Archenimon: "I wish you were female! Anyway, no. We're out to destroy this world."
Mummymon: "But I thought the boss wanted to come here..."
Archenimon: "..."
Mummymon: "You didn't get his memo?"
Archenimon: "Excuse us...." *pulls out a Pikachu cellphone*
Wendy: *shakes head* "I would have never tolerated this from my underlings."
Stan throws up.
Archenimon: "You want us to price check her, boss?"
Mummymon: "I wanna talk to the boss!"
Cartman: "These villains are pretty gay..."
Archenimon: "First off, you liked him in high school. Second, he's dead. Boss, I know it's not my place BUT GET OVER IT!"
Terriermon: "Waaaaaaaaaaaalllllllace- your mom's faaaaaaaattttttttt... fatter than the fat kid here."
Cartman: "Hey, you b**t-licking beeeeeeeatch! I'm not fat, I'm festively plump! Right, mom?"
Ms. Cartman: "What was that hon'?"
'Gatomon': "Don't stop..."
Stan: "Dude... that's pretty ****ed up right there."
Wallace: "Yeah- WTF is up with your mom?"
Kenny: Mmmmmmmmmmmmfffffffffmmmfffffffmmmm..."
Archenimon: "The hell with it... I'm just going to settle for killing one of you brats today."
Mummymon: "Ooooh can I pick which one?"
Archenimon: "Fine. But don't even ask to keep your clothes on and jump in the tub with me."
Kyle: "You take baths with your clothes on?"
Kenny: "Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmfffffffffffffmmmmmmmmm!"
Archenimon: "I've changed my mind! Mummymon, let's kill that one!"
Mummymon: "Does that mean I can take a dip in the tub with you?"
Archenimon: "NO! Spider Thread!"
Stan: "OMG! She killed Kenny!"
Kyle: "You b*****d!"
Archenimon and Mummymon ride off in their car.
Wendy: "So what now, Stan?"
Stan throws up.
Kyle: "We go to Primary Village and get a new Kenny."
Wendy: "You mean things that die here come back to life?"
Cartman: "Hahaha- You tried to take over and didn't even know that?"
Wendy: "And none of you told me? I've been dying to Jogress with Stan the whole time!"
