Are you mostly a buyer or a borrower?

It is a simple question: Do you mostly buy or borrow the anime that you watch (that is not on TV)?

I myself am DEFINITETLY a buyer. It is an addiction that I do not see stopping anytime soon. I am also an avid lender. As soon as I found out that one of my friends really liked anime, I have been loaning it to him left and right. So far I have loaned him the Escaflowne series and movie, all of Blue Seed, and all of Nadesico. Tonight I am going to force him to borrow the first DVD of Excel Saga and the first two DVDs of GTO. He never asked to borrow it, but he does watch them all. I have a couple of other friends who beg to borrow and I let them because they are too cheap to buy them themselves.

So… Are you mostly a buyer or a borrower?

buyer, but I rarely lend unless it's to someone I have an address for.

Borrowing is this broke college student's only way of seeing tons of anime. After all, why bother to make all those friends if you're not going to watch their anime?

I mostly borrow. I go to the anime club at school and get it for free

. I rarely buy anime DVD's.

I'm a buyer. Only a select few of my friends are interested in anime, and they usually just stick to what they can get on Toonami and Adult Swim, so I've really got no one to borrow from anyways.

I'm a borrower until I graduated from high school and my friends went to a University in Utah , I win most of my anime stuff though

Mostly buyer/renter. In manga, I'm about even on buying/borrowing, since Mal and I lend back and forth to each other.

Buyer all the way. I will not rest until the weight of my collection throughs Earth out of it's orbit. I do quite a bit of lending out, but mainly for the purpose of trying to turn other people into buyers as well.

I'm about half and half. I buy a lot, but I also have a buddy who buys about as much as I do, so we each tend to buy the series that the other isn't collecting, and then we borrow from each other. He's got Eva, Trigun, and Hellsing, and I've got Escaflowne, The Big O, and Berserk, that sort of thing. We've both got Cowboy Bebop. (-:

It depends on the Anime.

I borrow new anime from my friends like Gundam Seed and Macross Zero.

While I buy anime movies basically which are found in the stores like Best Buy or Suncoast... I perfer Best Buy but Suncoast has better selection.

Both! I barrow first and if I really like it, I buy it. And when I say barrowing I also mean seeing it at anime club or at someone's house. That's how I got into Excel Saga.

Also goes for seeing it on TV.
