That is the chamber of light within Sephirothmon (er, Sakkakumon). Each of the elements of the 10 Legendary Warriors had a chamber inside the being. As for the church: light, angels, Seraphmon. (BTW: kudos for them keeping in the crucified "Seraphmon's data")-What was with the church and coffin?

As for today's episode, I thought it was pretty good for what it did do. While the original was a lot more meanacing in some points (let's just say that they used a "church music" piece for the big fight in the original), they did do what they could under the circumstances. (one we know of by now to include awful puns and extraneous dialouge) It was not as good as what is going on with Kouji and, er, Duskmon, but still a great episode that finally saw the end of Mercuremon. (sort of)
Tomorrow: The beast maze comes alive! Final battle with Sephirotmon!

2/17/03- "Darkness Before the Dawn"
Tommy, Zoe, and J.P. are so concerned about Kouji being blown about two miles away that they never speculate about his health or even whether he might have lived or died! They're really concerned about Takuya not knowing about the fusion evolution thing, too, but have conveniently forgotten that Digivices double as cellphones. Way to go, guys. Been taking lessons from Bokomon?
Sephirothmon's top ball is a big pile of mirrors, and here Takuya blunders into Mercuremon. It shouldn't be possible, since Mercuremon IS Sephirothmon, but it does allow him to pop up anywhere and suckerpunch Takuya. After knocking him silly, Mercuremon decided to torture the boy by taking him to church. Really. Church. I can relate.
Inside the church is Seraphimon's data tied up in ivy. Mercuremon joins with it and whomps Takuya so hard his goggles break. Satisfied, Mercuremon prepares a coffin and grabs the boy by the head. The other three chip at the outside, and all scream "Takuya!" The egg does its trick again. Takuya, the first goggle boy ever to wait until after the bishounen gets one, finally gets his fusion. He's Aldamon, and after a brief speech about getting in touch with his feminine side and how much he hates war, plus a long, dead stare at the camera (yes, I made that up), he destroys the church. Terrified of a M*A*S*H reunion special, Mercuremon loses Seraphimon's data, flees to his Hall of Mirrors, and gets beat up anyway. Takuya gets the Mercuremon human spirit and splits. Everyone is overjoyed, including the audience, because Seraphimon's data flew to the egg, frying Bokomon in the process (yes!) and giving us back old fan favorite Patamon! (yes!yes!YES!)
Score: 4 out of 5. Yep, even with a reborn Patamon, a chicken-fried Bokomon, a decent fight sequence, and a rare threat to kill a kid. The indifference to Kouji is unforgivable, and Takuya screamed himself shrill until I was sick of him. Nor did I want to see Mercuremon go; he's the first good villain in a long time for this show. I'm not sure he'll be as interesting fighting as Sephirothmon.
Free the Water Tower 3!
ummmm.........yah.......goood eps. lately
Today's episode, while having some good moments, was not really as good as the previous two. For one, they just had to prove that "the other three" were not worthless even though they aren't getting the same powers as "the goggle boy" and "the lone wolf". Sad really, but it's only going to get worse down the road. On the other hand, Sephirotmon's final appearance rocked, considering that he has grown from "some weird mirror monster who speaks in old English" into one of the best villains this season. And who doesn't think that the little Patamon was cute?
Next: Confused yet by the whole Duskmon/Kouji situation. WELL IT GETS WEIRDER!!! Oh, and Duskmon activates his Beast spirit.

I wish, I just don't watch poorly put together dubs, I have my *ahem* ways of seeing the original version, let's leave it at that.(Note: I am in now way refering to bootlegs in this post, there are legal versions put out of the japanese version)
Please, feel free to compare the last four seasons in the US to the Japanese episodes.
And I think YGO is put together far-far worse.

The problem is that with this season and the "transformation" of Saban into a unit of Disney, the Digimon dub has somewhat been reduced back from its most mature state during the excellent Tamers season to one obsessed with "the kids". (sure there were a couple of problems for the Tamers dub, but they were minimal) Essentially, I say that the Frontier dub, while more childish, is mostly the same as the original. (well, compared to the dub for the first and most of the second season) But then, I am not a dub basher unless I am forced to be. (considering that when I first got into anime, the dubs were a whole lot worse in some ways)
BTW: I too have somewhat seen episodes from this season ahead, but in the more "illegal" fashion. (not saying anything)

Today's ep. further drives crazy all of the notions involving the relations of Kouji and Duskmon....er, long lost brother Kouichi. (there, I can finally say it without it being spoiled) Overall, it was a great episode that should of had a greater impact on me, but I guess the dub just felt bummed out today for some reason or another. Another reason why I don't feel much is that the song that played during Kouichi's flashback, even though it was pretty good and does fit the mood of the sequence, just didn't hit me like the original song in that part. (Look up "Ore Ga Tsubasa De~With Broken Wings~" in case you want to hear it) And the Patamon just gets cuter by the episode. ("Pata-dig, Pata-dig, Pata-dig, dig, dig!")

Excellent ep. today although I got ticked off when it ended. According to my TiVo...there's gonna be a lot of repeats coming up (is that correct?). When are new episodes airing again? Or is that it for a while?
Random Harry Potter Excerpt #3:
"Well, I can certainly see why we're trying to keep them alive." said Malfoy sarcastically. "Who wouldn't want pets that can burn, sting, and suck blood all at once?"

One other little thing....did ya catch the voice of "Joshua Seth" (original Tai) as Tommy's brother in last weeks Digimon Frontier episode?
Okay.....that episode had a REALLY irritating cliffhanger-y-type feel to it. Other than that, a very good episode.
Bad news: tomorrow is the last episode of the new stuff for a while, and it won't even finish off the Kouji/Kouichi situation. Nope, it's a pointless filler that has a little bit of a point. (or something like that...let's just say it involves a Trailmon graveyard) On the other hand, the first episode when they start up the new stuff will finally finish filling in the blanks on the "Insane Brothers".
