my analisis on some animes.

ok this is my own eassay analisis on some animes that i have seen. plz don't bash me because of this. this is just my analisis.

let me start..

pokémon!

been around in japan since 1995-96(forgot the exact year). the fact stills remains that it wasn't the first monster anime but still it was the one that started all. i mean follow the play:

Pokémon-Yu-Gi-Oh!-Digimon-Monster Rancher-Medarot Damashii(medabots in the u.s). i dunno the exact order after yugioh so i just aligned that way. but anyways pokémon was great at the indigo journeys. but he just had to go to the orange islands and make the series look boring.only a few eps were good but they just delayed the arrival of the gym battles. anyways.. pokémon later on at the end of the orange islands it became a little great. johto journeys was good(season 3). i got to admit that it was very good.

pokémon season 4(the johto league champions on the u.s) became horrible i saw the whole season but as always at the final eps of the season was good.

pokémon season 5(Master Quest)
it's been great even if some people say that it's full of fillers masterquest has been good ti'll the moment.

advance generation looks good...

pros of pokémon:cool monsters and not so bad quest. very exploring RPG.
cons:needs some more battles,less wastin time and less lettin go the pokémon and they should catch more pokémon. pikachu should finally be inside the pokéball for the love of god please put him on the ball!.

Great Anime! of The Best I have seen i have done a lot of research on the undubbed first season. and i have read one of the mangas and it was great. the first season of the U.S it's great. i really don't care about the guns being edited it's really stupid to care about that. so if the dubbing is not as accuarte as in the jap it's still a good show. the characther developing the drama everything.

pros:Great Action! Great Chracthers! i must read more manga i got to get the dvd's. Great PLot!

cons: a mix of DBZ action with a little of the pokémon things like

attk def. duel/battle duelists/poké-trainers

ash/Yugi-YamiYugi(i exaggerated a little bit YamiYugi wins More Than ash)

mean rivals:
Gary/Ash

yes, you will get flamed

1.The Yu-gi-oh dub is almost as bad as the CCS dub.
2.Do not judge the anime based only on the dub.
3. find the subbed, then you judge it.
4.Yami is just a name the dubbers put in. he is referred to in the manga and the Japanese version as "the other Yugi", etc.

BTW No, I am not a dub-hater.

I could be wrong but isn't the point of pokemon more than just catch'n a buncha critters. Ya know things like friednship and lessons learned. Last thing we need is another I'm stronger than you I'm gonna kick your tail all over the place anime with litttle or no plot. The ones we have here already give anime a bad name so why would we want more? I think pokemon is ok I watched at one point but started working and lost track and intrest plus I think it's draging on a bit now. I might watch it again who knows.

1. Pokemon stinks. Its because of that show that anime in general gets a bad name. All people think about when they hear anime is a bunch of dorks running around with poke balls *ok so I'm going to get flammed for that one but hey its not like I haven't had to listen to lecture before

*. It gives anime a bad name and should be considered a plague on humanity.
2. Battles are stupid. No meaning at all. Kinda of like G gundam in a way in that respect. A battle should be to the death or it doesn't mean a darn thing. Might as well have them dance around during the show in my opinion *yes I know some people want that but it won't happen so give up the hope*
3. Slavery. Ugly word in or society so why does a show where you go around and wail on some cute little critter till it agree to battle for you on your whim is so popular I don't know. *for those of you who now will call me racist for comparing the two your a total idiot and I don't care for your opinion though I have a bad feeling I might get banned for something in here. Too many pokemon lovers out there

Well, numbers 1-3 are matters of opinion, but I can tell you that #4 is wrong. First of all, I find it utterly unlikely that American dubbers would apply an actual Japanese word (yami=dark) to their English dub out of the blue. Second, the official series website lists him as such. Go to:

Look at Yugi's description at the top. In bold, to the left of his picture is his name. Translated, it is "Motou Yuugi (Yami Yugi)". The kanji for "yami" is the first one within the parentheses.

As for the series themselves, I think it's very tempting to criticize them and draw false comparisons by comparing them to more "adult" anime. If you view them for what they are, however, namely children's shows that double as toy/card commercials, I think they are good if not particularly spectacular.

everything i say is my opinion. it's not my problem if u don't like it. and yes i have seen more anime than in reg cable. i rent some animes videos as well. and yes i'm a pokémon and Yugioh odsseb fan. what the subbed has do with it i alredy done some research on the subbed version of yugioh there isn;t much of a change even if some people exageratted. i have seen much subbed and dubbed versions and they don't have much of a diference exept is uncut and they curse a lot.

now let me review DBZ

DBZ & DBGT

not such a bad show. i read in an anime magazine that it was considered the Best Action Cartoon i still dunno why they consider it that. i have seen the subbed,Dubbed in Spanish and english. the subbed and spanish are better they are uncut!.
i got to admit i liked the english dubbing of the androids saga.
Cell has a horrible spanish voice.

anyways it's not a bad anime it just lacked of some good ideas. DBGT that looked like DB at the beggining later on like in like 28-33ep it started to improve a little. i still say DBZ And DBGT could have ended better. i'm not giving any spoilers yet. i have seen almost all of the movies uncut. they are better than some of the series eps.

pros:decent action and villians and characthers.and great powers.

cons: buu saga is full of fillers. the dub of the buu saga is horrible.(in english). to defeat a viillian or to get to a final showdown it takes like 10-25eps. just to defeat buu it took like 63eps(i think i exagerrated i got to check again). and Goku is always the one wiining. only once Gohan had the Chance to win. and poor goten and trunks in GT how usseless have u become.

anyways this is my opinions.

I'll add some more...

1. WTF is up with this "Oh we know this really powerful enemy is coming so we're gonna train for the next 20+ episodes untill he/she gets here".
2. The 5 minutes that will live in infamy. Nuff said.
3. Always finding new "levels" to surpass. If Toriyama listened to the fanboys and kept going Goku would have been a Super Saiyan 97.7848576.
4. Completly lacks the comical battles that made DB a sub-decent anime. The only trully funny fight was Gotenks vs. Super Buu. Which is probably why Gotenks is my favorite character...

and great powers.

If ya want "great powers" go rent Akira... the same property damage ratio, ten times more realistic.

I'm done ranting now...

Okay kids. Let's keep the flaming and harsh responses more to a minmum here. Thing to remeber here is that everyone's got an opinion on something. Even if you don't agree to it, it doesn't make thier opinion any less valid or wrong. It's thier opinion. It doesn't mean you can't debate thier opinions, but it does mean that you have to be a little nicer about it. There's no damn good reason any debate needs to devolved into insults.

Oh yes. One more comment of God in the negative manner that was mention on the thread here... And I put a bullet in this thread and kill it. (And then issue the warnings.) An anime forum is not to place to bring up an issue that will turn into an ugly relgious debate. You know it, and I know it. So there.

If I came off a litte harsh before I didn't mean it. I was up late and I guess I might have been a little annoyed *stupid work is cutting my hours in favor of guy who not even working in my department. They just want someone else to do their work while not paying him as a manage. Argh*. If you like pokemon its your right. I suggest you reconsider but hey its a free country so do what you want. Just don't say its the greatest anime ever. Its not and you will be struck down for saying that by the great otaku in the sky *no religion here I hope*
