Gundam Movie Trilogy

*(not sure were this should go, sense MSG aired on Toonami and ASA, but sense these movies never did, I thougt this might go here) I got the box set the other day, and I just finished watching and man, this is a really good bunch of movies. Great Characters, Great plot, Great Mecha. This is it, boys and girls. If you call your self a Gundam fan, hell, if you call your self an anima fan at all, you have to see this, they are classics for a reason.

I agree. It could do with SOME extras, but the remastered animation and sound makes up for it.

Interesting to note--the movies play up the Newtype aspect much more than in the TV show. In the TV show, the concept of Newtypes isn't really introduced until the last 6 or 7 episodes, while in the movies, they already introduce it in the 1st movie, and really go in-depth in the second.

Movie three is a nice surprise with oodles of nice new animation. Yasuhiko was really getting into his artistic groove here.

Well, like I mentioned *ABOVE*, the third movie has *a lot* of nice *new* animation.

First movie has about 10% new animation
Second movie has about 30% new animation
Third movie has about 70% new animation.

The animation in some cases is redone, and in some cases they are just totally new scenes made to make the movies flow better.
