Mospeada or Southern Cross anyone?

Every time Robotech comes up, someone is sure to add in, "Let's be clear that we're talking about Macross here." Aren't there any fans out there of the second two parts?

To be honest, Southern Cross was never my cup of tea, but is that because it's the most butchered segment of the series?

I would really love to see Mospeada if I could ever get my hands of a copy. I thought it was a great piece as a part of Robotech. My understanding is that these characters are basically on a suicide mission in Mospeada, and I'd be fascinated to hear the character development that would ensue.

ADV will release the uncut, subtitled-only Southern Cross and Mospeada sometime in the future, according to a recent press release. So just sit a little longer and wait for the DVDs.

I vaguely remember the third part, which I never gave much of a chance, and I remember the second part. I watched the second part again recently (the dub Robotech script) and found the first few episodes rather lukewarm, with later episodes gathering in excitement. I think I enjoyed this part more when I was a child, though. It does have a...memorable ending.

If that gives you any clue how distorted Robotech Masters is compared to Southern Cross.

You were told wrong. Southern Cross did indeed have a downbeat ending, that much I can confirm.
