    Your favorite space cowboy anime?

    Like This Thread!
The most popular "Space Cowboy" animes would be Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and Trigun.

I think it's clear Bebop is the supreme example of this style, mostly because it only uses the style as a background, not as the focus for the entire show.

    Vote and discuss away!

I'm voting for OLS, even though I think it would be a tie with Bebop. Of course, that's not to lessen Trigun. I just happen to like CB and OLS better than that one. Poor Vash.....he just can't get respect.

Hahah I understand... I would've put a "tie" vote up there, but I want to the gut reaction as to which you actually prefer, more times than not.

I like Bebop quite a bit, but I think OLS lasts in the long run. For some reason I'd rather watch an OLS rerun than a Bebop rerun. Maybe because Outlaw isn't so serious all the time?

Although it's technicaly not anime, but it is anime influenced, I would have to go with galaxy rangers. But out of the 3 choices given, I would have to say outlaw star, both trigun and bebop are tied for 2nd place.

Cowboy Bebop. This show is just too good. The characters, the story, tha animation, everything about it just screams "awsomeness." I love this show so much that I spent 160 dollars on the Perfect Sessions DVD box set.

I like Outlaw Star, but it got kinda boring after watching more than once. The first and last four episodes are the only really great episodes of the series.

I can't say anything about Trigun, because I haven't seen it yet. I've heard that it's as good as Bebop, so that's something to look forward to seeing. Hopefully I'll see it soon.

Well Bebop is still going pretty strong.

To anyone who hasn't seen Trigun, I suggest finding someone who knows the show inside out and then start watching at about episode 8. If you buy the first DVD and have no one to tell you about the show, you'll probably hate it. It doesn't get good until midway through the show when all the cool characters show up.

I've only seen a small bit of Cowboy Bebop, but not enough to have any good opinion on. I haven't seen any other besides Outlaw Star, and I LOVE IT. Each character is very interesting in their own ways, with their own unique personalities. Plus it can be funny.
I heard from somewhere that CB and OLS are alike is a lot of ways, and that the creators must go along with the saying that says, "Great minds think alike".

Funny is always a plus, excpet when awkwardly used. Trigun and Rurouni Kenshin are fine examples of this awkwardly used comedy.

They're all good, but Cowboy Bebop is the best.
