Research Help: Anime and its Effect on Society

    Like This Thread!
I have to do a 4 page research paper on Anime and Its Effect on Society (my choice of topic). I'm knowledgeable about this subject, but I need to cite some sources for it...since its a research paper.

Can anyone give me any links or documents they think will help me at all with this research paper?

Also, can anyone give me any suggestions as to what type of things to talk about of mention in this paper?

    NOTE:
I think this is the most appropriate forum for this kind of stuff, but you can move or copy this thread to the Anitainment forum if you want...

Actually, YOU could move it to the AniTainment board now, Dark Spider!
    But that's beside the point.

Hmm... Anime's effect on society... You could write a paper on how a small number of hentai series have almost ruined anime's reputation to the average American. Or about how some anime films aren't just Sci-Fi psychic battles (non sci-fi movies like Grave of the Fireflies, Jin-Roh, Dog of Flanders, etc). There are a couple books on the market about anime history. The Anime Encyclopedia or Anime Essentials are good places to start.

You could site how me and my sister have our little "Tenchi Nights" and we eat misou soup and green tea. But for some reason I don't really think that would help you much.

Maybe this article could help you. You could talk on how Japanese anime has pushed for a greater viewing maturity amongst the general society,.. such as todays allowance of main character death, blood and the use of the words hell and dam.

I'm taking it upon myself to move the thread to Anitainment where it will have a better response (since all the anime fans go there anyway)
