No matches with the fantasy cast I threw together just in time, but obviously I didn't actually know any of the characters, so it's not like I'm disappointed about that. And damn, Ian is kicking ass lately. Nice job, man.

Looking over the music and production staff, and it's hard to imagine cramming more talent on one show. It'll be interesting to watch Watanabe bring that all together. Definitely feels like a go big or home moment for anime in the west though. If this isn't at least as notable as Cowboy Bebop, I doubt we'll see a line up like this for another decade or more.

honnyaku_blog on Twitter has seen the first two episodes.

    Space Dandy ep1
    A part : Gosei Oda(小田剛生)'s action animation.
B part : Bahi JD & Yutapon(中村豊)'s awesome action animation.
Space Dandy 'bout to show the world how to make flash animation.

    Space Dandy Ep2
    ED/SB: Sayo Yamamoto(山本 沙代)
    Bahiくんが10cut~15cutくらい。
    中村さんが20cut~25cutくらいかな、間違ってたらごめんなさいだけどかなりガッツリな印象だった
Hell yeah, ten-plus cuts from everyone's favorite Bahi!

Space Dandy ep2 also included great fight animation in Ramen shop. That reminds me of Takashi Mukoda-ish action.
Wonderful Kanada-ish mecha action scene was also in Ep3.
    Key animation from Yutapon:

A Space Dandy mobile game has been announced, Space Galaga, an enhanced version of the Namco classic.

The gameplay actually looks nice and I like the fact that it's not just a reskininng of Galaga, but some upgrade functionality and other stuff as well.
Yup. It's a signature. Go away if you're expecting something interesting here.

Space Dandy #1 - Script: Shinichiro Watanabe, Storyboard / Episode Director: Shingo Natsume, Animation Director: Yoshiyuki Ito
Looks like Watanabe is once again shunning off all the work for the first episode he doesn't want to do to someone else, namely Natsume.

Heh. The title of Space Dandy's ending theme: "Welcome to Dimension X". The song's arranged by none other than Yoko Kanno herself. The singer's Etsuko Yakushimaru. She's performed for a handful of other themes before, most notably the ones for Mawaru Penguindrum and Arakawa Under the Bridge.

As for Space Galaga...I'd totally buy that in English.
I would suggest that it's not the medium, but the quality of perception and expression, that determines the significance of art. But what would a cartoonist know? -Bill Watterson

I knew Kanno had to be more important than just one of the countless background composers. Excellent; I can't wait to hear this song now.

The hype just keeps hyping up. Still like that [opening intro] music in the background.

A new Toonami promo for the series has appeared and it's the first time we get to hear the English cast I believe.
