    Two New Beyblade Shows Announced

    Like This Thread!

So as 4D is coming to an end, it looks like history won't repeate itself and there will be a fourth consecutive show. We're getting not one, but two new shows! First up is Beyblade Zero G

This will be the start of the new Beyblade line, rather than metal, the gimmick is going to be "crystal" parts. The show starts in April.

    Next up is Beyblade Beywheelz

This one seems to have been created as a supplement to the main Metal line of shows. It's going to air in America first and my guess is that they're doing this because halfway into the third Metal season, the episode run time is cut down to 15 minutes. The series will air for 13 episodes and air in America before Metal Fury, the third series.

Interesting. I wasn't exactly a big fan of the Metal Fusion series (though, in its defense, I haven't been able to see much of it), but I have to say that I will definitely check out these new shows.

I'm curious as to exactly what this "crystal" gimmick is going to be like.

I kinda wish they would make a new series with the original characters.

So these are the main characters! Zero Kurogane is front and center as the main character, his story is that he witnesses the final battle Ginga has in 4D and that inspires him to become a Blader. The series is officially titled Metal Fight Beyblade Zero-G

Sweet. I feel as though I can actually take this series more seriously. It was offsetting watching MF:beyblade in subs...since I grew up on the original dubbed trilogy. I gave the Metal Fusion series a chance, but the characters were to "cutesy" for me. And....Ginga's voices actors sucks. Really sorry to those who found his actor appealing, but it was sooo annoying. Especially when he squealed...even Dan Kuso's "hype dude slang" was better than this foolishness. Never have I watched a series LA or animated, and was irked so much by the main character. Also, the camera work felt so...digital? Felt like I was watching moving (panes?) The show just felt so choppy compared to the original japanese version. Also, I didn't like the supernatural vibe to the show. I know GRevolution incoroporated some of that in the finale, but the originals still felt more "grounded"

That all being said these charactes look cooler, and hopefully it'll maintain the hardcore vibe from the dubbed original series(ya, i'm aware the org.trilogy was reworked to appeal to western audiences).

Still curious about the supposed second series...to air before Zero-G in the west.
    Anime currently watching:

Hanasaku Iroha , Gad Guard, Birdy the Mighty, Eden of the East, Chromo Shelled Regios

Funnily enough, I ended up watching 6 episodes of this during a Nicktoons marathon yesterday. Having seen the original series, it impressed me that the dubbing now seems much better and the show has a much more active sense of humour (actually funny jokes and no 'Evil organization kidnapping kids to claim a toy!'). Assuming that is the standard now, this could be a good thing.

Was the marathon on the American Nicktoons Network?
I don't need a signature. I'm too cool for one. LOL

He's from the UK, and Beyblade airs on Nicktoons there. In the US the show airs on Cartoon Network.

From watching the show as it airs. :P

The first 20someodd episodes are regular length but the run time is shortened around episode 25 or so. This was done probably because a new B-Daman show started airing and rather than give that show its own time slot, they just cut Beyblade's in half and air them back to back. Zero-G supposedly runs in the same time slot, so we're probably looking and more 15 minute episodes.

Cross Fight B-Daman's ratings are actually really poor compared to MFB's. But ratings don't matter for things like this.

Anime News Network is providing some more details about BeyWheelz.

    http://fast.animenewsnetwork.com/new...ywheelz-series

Nelvana is saying that BeyWheelz and Beyblade: Metal Fury combined will have a total of 52 episodes, so there's a good chance there will be more than just 13 episodes of BeyWheelz (unless that is 13 full half hour episodes).
College football, basketball, the NFL, the NBA, and MLB. I may not be an expert, but these sports always keep me fascinated if the game is good!

    13 sounds about right.

There were 27 full length episodes before the time reduction, if Metal Fury airs two of the reduced time 4D episodes as one Metal Fury episode, that takes them to 39 half hours. BeyWheelz would take that up to the full 52.

What should really be interesting is seeing how they work with Zero-G and whether or not we'll get a continuation (probably a longer one) of BeyWheelz. I personally think it would be neat if they could get BakuTech! Bakugan airing in the same half hour block when the time for that comes. (if it ever does end up over here)

Hey, some of that stuff looks awfully familiar

We haven't been given any indication that Baku-Tech won't be Japan-only. The fact it's completely missing from Nelvana's MIPTV highlights would be concerning if I actually cared for the franchise. Zero-G will probably be partnered up with even more Beywheelz.

And yes, those should be 13 twenty two minute episodes of Beywheelz.

So Zero-G's since aired, and here's the opening animation.

Having seen the first episode, the series has a kind of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX feel to it where it's in continuity with the previous series, and those characters do play a role in this one. Unfortunately, the 12 minute run time made it hard to really get a fleshed out opinion. Zero seems kind of cocky, but eh. As the music is credited to Nelvana staff once again in Zero-G we can pretty much expect this to be brought over.

And then there's BeyWheelz, which we have a proper trailer for:

You know most people have confusion on that. Nelvana is a Co-Producer for these new Beyblade series. They don't have to license it because they are producing it. As a result, they don't have to bring it over, because they are creating it.
