Friday at Anime Boston ended up being much more interesting than I had initially anticipated. After the sardine-like experience that was NYCC in October, Anime Boston was a breath of fresh air in the room and smaller number of con-goers. We spent the majority of our day at panels with voice actors and it was a great time.

The calendar has turned and once again we arrive at another Anime Boston, now featuring the self-owned FUNimation, and the semi-revived ADVFilms in the form of Sentai Filmworks doing a panel and Section 23 Films in the dealer's room. So far this year the weather is gorgeous and the cosplayers are out in force, so things are relatively on-track, with no registration related disasters. The layout of the con is roughly similar to last year's with the dealer's room taking up the first floor exhibit hall space, the second floor featuring the main events room and the alternate big panel room on the second floor and the majority of the panel space and artist's alley space on the third floor of the Hynes Convention Center plus some other late evening/night events in the Sheraton hotel attached to the Hynes/Prudential Center complex.

Greg Ayres also confirmed that he is voicing Tomoki in Heaven’s Lost Property and Eric Vale will play Ikaros.

They were press-only events with the voice actors, formatted something like a press conference where we got to ask questions... so there were only a handful of us in the room at a time.

I see. I can't imagine there's ever anything other than what gets asked at every voice actor panel?
