Well, pre-Mummy Shishio wasn't too bad looking in the manga either. A little makeup and a lot of bandages for that guy, and who knows? Now live action Hiko, there's a challenging fellow to pull off...
I'm super impressed they committed to two movies based on the success of the first one. Kyoto will need some trimming, but based on buzz about the first movie they should be equipped to do it right.
What would be really ironic...who's to say that Jinchu isn't next in 2016 or 2017, that it's done in live action first? Well, I'd take whatever I can get.
Well, in defense of the film crew, Yu Aoi is 27 years old and playing a woman who's 21 in the story. Going on the trailers and such she pulls that aspect off, though Megumi is a challenging role to fill IMO because Watsuki crafts that character to come off as mature beyond her years in every way. Go too old with the actress, though, and you risk getting a tad unfaithful. I don't envy those who had to make that casting call.
