Well, at least Pierrot is giving us new animation...

I thought it would be worth noting that the canon material will not be starting up again until May 10th with the title "War Begins!"
Everything else until then will be reanimated flashbacks of the previous Naruto anime.
Why re-animate old episodes of Naruto? The show isn't that old.
"This is true. This is real. This . . . Is . . . STRAIGHT EDGE."
But seriously, it's just to kill time so the manga can get a bit farther. I'm reallyyy hoping Pierrot is going to expand a lot of the upcoming fights so we don't have to go back to this type of filler again.
Alrighty, episode #272 (July 26, 2012) will be Road to Sakura to promote the upcoming new film coming out on July 28, Road to Ninja. Other then that, we appear to be moving into the fight for Darui's unit. Hopefully the animation supervisor list comes out soon.
I have to wonder what that plot will be about
Hmm...I guess Pocket Monsters is getting another hour-long special on July 12. I wonder how Studio Pierrot is going to make up for it?July 5
269. Taboo Word (NGワード)
270. Golden Bonds (金色の絆)
271. Road to Sakura
Liked the animation in 287 for the battlefield map strategy scene with the figures depicting each side's teams.
"Name's Duo Maxwell, I may run and hide but I never tell a lie, except for that time I put itching powder in Father Maxwell's shorts, but we won't get into that."
#273-274 are an hour-long special.
Kouda!270: Kouda Masayuki
271: Yoshinuma Hiromi
272: Hong Rong & Ishizaki Yuko
273-274 SP: Tomizawa Kayano & Eum Ik-hyun
Abe Noriyuki will be #272 storyboarder. Nigorikawa Atsushi back to the show storyboarding #270 and Kawai Shigeki directing the same episode.
Also one more BLEACH staff guy coming to Shippuuden: Koshiba Junya. Will be #271 storyboarder along with Kagawa Yutaka.
Not sure how the special will turn out, though.
Episode #271 is a movie special.
Episode #276 was a lot better than I expected. It seems that episodes shipped out to the Chinese or Korean studios that have Ukulele Zenjirou act as a Chief Animation Supervisor get some extra budget. I think they're also using new music from Road to Ninja already (or they're using pieces from Blood Prison I hadn't heard).
The September episodes look like they're going to be expanded battles, too. So, four weeks or so to fall behind from the comic. I wonder if they're going this to prepare for a three or four chapter episode?
278. The Targeted Medical Ninja (狙われた医療忍者)
279. The White Zetsu's Trap (白ゼツの罠)
280. The Artist's Aesthetics (芸術家の美学)
281. Allied Mom Forces!! (母ちゃん連合軍!!)
AAAAAND we're back in filler. Oh well. The latest episode was about Kiba, Hinata, and Shino being caught in a trap made by Zetsu. I guess if anyone needs filler development, its them.

Better than nothing or stretching one chapter an episode. I haven't gotten around to watching the episode, but I'm glad to see they're thinking ahead a little. I wonder how long this will last. Episode #278 adapted up through most of chapter #540. The title for #282 does suggest we're returning to covering stuff from the comic, though. Right now, up through chapter #601 has been printed. Episode #282 will likely cover the rest of chapter #540 through #542, basically another two chapters. By then, the comic would likely be up to chapter #604, so it's still only a sixty-one/sixty-two chapter buffer. Since the comic likely only has seventy or so chapters left in it, I'd like to see the animated series take another break after it adapts chapter #544, which is a good place to break. Let's assume...
Episode #283: chapter #543.
Episode #284: chapter #544.
Episodes #285+: no chapters adapted.
I think breaking from there would be best if Studio Pierrot was to pull a Hueco Mundo here. It's a solid cliffhanger and lead-in to the next portion of the arc.
