Please hbi, as much as I enjoy Cassius, please please PLEASE use your Casca voice for Lavie. It must be done. It can only be done that way.
And can I just briefly say how happy that fact makes me?

Wow, a One Piece from Mynd? I was going to totally put my money on Bleach if I could have afforded it.
By the way, LK's got his Youmacon 2010 video up. More hilarity ensues.

Video was great.
Damn, LK, how do you manage to discipline yourself to sit down and edit all this stuff? I have difficulty editing more than a minute of content per day (not because I can't, but because I suppose I'm too hyper to be doing one thing all day).
Anyways, funny video, but I don't think many people think all of those things about you, as good as it is to occasionally look in the mirror and have a laugh at yourself.
I agree. As cacophonic as that voice is, it fits Lavie well.
Also, having done a One Shot of this series myself -- and I'm sure Unwardil, who is the world's foremost authority on abriding Last Exile, will agree with me on this -- it's best to combine episodes 1 and 2 together. Just trying to abridge only the first epsiode doesn't really work well.
Not telling you what to do (assuming Last Exile wins, despite my efforts), just a suggestion.
Wow. That was great criticism.
I can't wait to see what kind of video LK will put up in response to this troll.
... wait.
I'm thinking that I might skip ahead to an episode somewhere in the middle and do kind of an in media res thing. Also, other than the cameo which I promised to one of the donors, I'll do all the voices myself.
It's good to know that I have your blessing, Unwardil. I'd hate to step on any toes.
X the Abridged Promo
I have no idea what X is, but one of my buddies from the tfs forums is in this so i thought i'd share it with you

The pilot is a little rough around the edges in terms of mixing SFX and smoothing cues, but some solid voice work, audio quality, and editing. The script is clever, but could use a bit of tightening, but still very enjoyable.
This looks like it has a lot of potential. 1kids isn't my slice of pie, so I'm excited to see another series going in a different direction.
Has some potential but kind of low key in the humor department.
I rather like some of the voices and the editing is good but without more funny it's kind of wasted effort.

I don't wanna sound biased or anything, but I fail to see anything out of the ordinary with that Pokemon Abridged other than good mic quality (not the same as good Voice Acting) on most of the characters.
The script felt like a fandub a lot because... well... it was using dub lines just to get from point A to point B. And there was a lot of unneeded silence. And other stuff I or someone else would pick at if the script was half decent. I mean, it's harder to critique the smaller stuff when, in general, I think the script is kinda lacking in jokes. Good jokes, bad jokes... just lacking jokes in general.
Imo
Yes the script was very fandubby.
I thought most the acting was fine though. That might be my favorite Ash voice I've heard yet. Gary sounded a bit old but he made it work IMO, despite the dialogue being kind of dull.
Too much silence for sure. It all felt very slow.

The selective sound effects and the excessive dead space bugged me and killed some of the episode's momentum and the comedic timing. I can't hate on it too much, since it's a pilot from some unknowns. Once they get more experience, I can only see the series getting better.
I have to give props to the person voicing Ash. All of the squeals and noises made the character. I say that the acting was solid because I got characters out of Gary, Ash, and to a smaller extent the pokedex, instead of well done funny voices.
I say the script is clever because they actually take some time to developed characters and have some interesting dialogue. For example, instead of having Gary be the same "Ash Sucks, Smell ya later!!!11" type attitude, he captured a douchbaggy-friend I knew in college down to a T. I prefer the more "fandubby" abridged series in general, and don't really like string of one-liners style of writing that are en vogue now. While I didn't bust a gut laughing, I didn't roll my eyes and groan at overused or ill-fitting jokes either. It made me giggle and I'd like to see where it goes.
"Daddy?!" - DBZA 18's out.
You'll need an adult for watching this.

Any complaints I have with this episode were overshadowed by Guru. Just about every one of his lines were winners. Nicely done, TFS crew.

Wow, who knew a scream can break dimensions and time like that.
But awesome episode all the same. Screaming Vegeta, Angry Krillin, Guru, and of course Shaz all worked out well in the end.
Although honestly couldn't really care much about the stinger. I thought it was a bit lame and was expecting a better punchline than a plugline. But that's just me.
I liked it. One of TFS's better episodes to be sure.
Vegeta is growing on me more and more. Also, the banter between characters appears to be getting better. Very good exchanges in this episode.
The "I am an adult" worked very well the first time, but as a running gag it got watered down quickly. As an abridger who, rather dangerously, tends to use running gags, I'm obviously for running gags. But that one just didn't seem to hold up (in my opinion).
Though I suppose that is the danger of... running with a running gag.
Eh? Eh? Pretty clever, eh?
The only thing that bugged me was Nappa, simply cause it feels to me like the show is milking him. But in Kaiser's defense, the plebs like Nappa, and so he is just giving them what they want, I suppose.
Unlike Juu, I thought the stinger was okay. Yeah, certainly not great. But I wouldn't call it lame.
Lani's Kuririn sounded off, had he a cold during the recording of those lines?
Mynd's mic was also...well...different. It sounded more like...well...he was a guy behind a mic.
The editing on Vegeta's eyes when he was walking noticably shook. Stuck out to me. >_<
Speaking of Vegeta, that stinger ("I'm just...sayin'") was pretty cheesy. Was that intentional? It's mainly my inner Japanese version fanboy. Yo.
Speaking of my inner Japanese fanboy (damn, that's too much to type)...hate how the non-Freeza peoples use 'power level'. >_+
Loved the sharpness of the Gohan-Vegeta exchange and of course...that scream. Epic. Epic. Awes-epic.
"Daddy?"
Oh God, Shaz was in this episode? I didn't recognize him!!![]()
