Favorite Giant Robot?

Mine's is tied with the Lion version of Voltron and Frankenstein Jr. Gigantor was just too bulky, but the Robotech transforming jetships were cool. Anybody else?

Probably a tie between Evangelion Unit 01 and Soundwave. Soundwave counts as a giant robot, right?

How about the Sentinels - they were pretty kewl threats and Master Mold was a great villain in the X-books for a while.

My favorites would have to be Eva-00 (Rei's EVA) or Bender from "Futurama". (He was a giant robot once. In "The Anthology of Interest", Bender asks the what-if machine was life would be like if he's a giant robot ala the Iron Giant.)

The Sentinels (from X-Men): That first Sentinel story in X-Men:TAS still thrills me. Don't ask me why. Sentinels seem to go in cycles in the comics: stupid, then cool, then repeat.

And it's probably not technically a robot, but I've gotta mention it: The CLOD from Xyber 9, Mick's weapon of choice. It's one heckuva cool toy, too.

Well, there's Tranzor Z, Johnny Socko's Flying robot, Ultraman (I hope I'm not dating anyone with some of these), Just about any of the Transformers, just about any mecha from Robotech, and Mechagodzilla.

about EVA 01, "he" is just too unpredictable. sometimes "he" won't work but sometimes "he" turns berserker. not very efficient and can be dangerous.

And could somebody tell me where that fully updated Tranzor Z picture comes from??? Did they redo his anime like they did Getter Robo???
