Wow, Nippon Ichi, you wasted FUNi's chances to get Toradora, and it shows, yep, the lack of a dub is gonna help you, as well as that price, and it's only half the series.
Oh yeah, it was well wroth it.

I would suggest that it's not the medium, but the quality of perception and expression, that determines the significance of art. But what would a cartoonist know? -Bill Watterson
What is "Competition" exactly when there's only realistically 2 companies that can freely license anime?
Hit list:
Lose =/= Loose
Canon =/= Cannon
Eh? Even if you cut out Bandai (which you probably shouldn't--they got Kannagi) there's FUNimation, Section23, and Viz (who invalidated the "they only care about Shonen Jump titles" critique when they grabbed such titles as Monster, Nana, Honey and Clover, and Vampire Knight).

Eh, the smaller companies can put in in bids, but Toradora is niche so it's not like it's going to get bid up particularly hard either. It's no US studio's frontline title, especially between the big two. I'm surprised Nippon is doing an LE as such, but they must figure the niche will atleast spend up on bonus goods.
I've already preordered Toradora and Persona TS premium sets.
I don't mind the prices to be honest.

NISA also mentioned if you preorder these from Rosenqueen.com they toss in a double-sided poster.
I happen to have samples of these boxes sittin' right here on my coffee table. They're pretty sweet; thick chipboard, smooth finish.
