    Dubbing isn't really the devil..

When it comes to Anime...I understand the viewpoint that Dubs suck. But, I also understand that subs can be just to difficult, keeping up with both the action, & reading. And I also understand why many people say FUNimation is the devil when it comes to dubs...
Personally, I do NOT like the voices on DBZ. And the Yu Yu Hakusho cast could be MUCH better(Hate Kuawabara's voice. Yusuke's voice is good, though).
Anyone heard the voice cast for Lupin? Or at least know the VA names?
Meanwhile, companies like Bandai get a bad rap..even though they probably do the best dubbing jobs. The Gundam Wing dubbing was excelent, IMO. & I dont think there is much dispute that the Cowboy Bebop Voice Cast is very well liked.
I usually end up really enjoying the dubs done by Pioneer(despite Tenchi's voice..heh...).

So, what's your favorite Dubbing company?

My tremendous intuitive sense of the female creature informs me that you are troubled...

I have to agree. I can enjoy an anime reguardless of whether its dubbed or subtitled. sometimes its better one way or the other, but im not gonna totally discard one for the other. I have an extensive anime collection, but i'll still watch any ASA anime, and some toonami (mostly zoids, tenchi, outlaw star, etc. no DB or DBZ) I know everyone has there preferences, but considering how lucky we are to even get free anime on TV (edited/dubbed or otherwise). Im used to the olden days of yore (mid 80s) where anime was rare to find anywhere, and I had to pay 30+ bucks to buy Akira, Vamp Hunter D, and Nadia. Now, i can find it just about anywhere, and we even get it UNCUT (partially) on CN, and cable channels like Encore Action! Im very happy with the abundancy of anime, and will take it however I can get it.

Personally, I like dubs. In fact, the majority of my anime collection is dubbed in English. I don't understand why dubs are so hated among the "purists". I mean, if dubs help spread anime's popularity (very few casual watchers will sit through 100+ episodes of YYH subtitled on tv.) then why are they so reviled? In the early days of anime in the US, when Streamline Pictures reigned supreme, all dubs were pretty awful. Just look at Lily C.A.T or Project A-Ko. But dub quality has greatly improved over the years. To me, the Cowboy Bebop English cast is better than the original Japanese. But my favorite dubs are by ADV. The Evaneglion dub is my favorite of all time, and words cannot express how happy I am that Manga got the cast back for the Movie release.
