Digimon Cross Wars- New Series Speculation and Discussion

A little surprised no one mentioned this over here, given I'm sure there's still some digimon fans here. Anyways, as mentioned in the topic title, this isn't completely confirmed yet. So I wouldn't quite get excited just yet.

According to With the Will and some other fansites, "Digimon Around" has been rumoured to be the next upcoming Digimon series. One website, which you can check here, has Digimon Around listed to begin airing in Spring 2010. Several other websites were also listing it, but pulled it, as they apparently jumped the gun on listing it, as the information has yet to be confirmed as official.

Apparently they are expecting an announcement to come from Jump Festa and/or an upcoming V-Jump issue.

In any case, I'm hoping this information is true, since it does seem to be on all accounts. But I won't try and get my hopes up if it turns out to be false.

However, didn't something similar happen with Digimon Savers with it's announcement? Or am I just remembering wrong...?

Really? If this is true I'll be very happy. Savers really let me down and I still want an enjoyable season to make up for it. But I'm still keeping up my skepticism.

Yeah, I was going to post this topic when more information was revealed, since it seems to be pretty much a given it'll be revealed at Jump Festa this month. Do I really have to say how excited I am?

I too hope we return to the art style of Adventure-Frontier. I hope the new Digimon DS game with it's "classic" art style is an indication that we'll see it again.

Holy freakin cow, when I saw the title I nearly passed out. I loved Digimon, to hear that there getting a new series made my heart skip a beat

I really want it to continue with Zeroe Two as that was my favorite series funny enough or series one or even continue with the end of Zeroe two with there kids defeating evil that'd work

Whatever I'd just fine with kis having googles and Digimon. I wouldn't mind it if they had a continuation with Tamers either, I mean they left it with a To be continued, we never got that. If they did that I'd like to see more Kazu, have his Digimon digivolve. I hope we get more news on this soon, so excited for this YAY.

What are you talking about? Frontier was the best 37 episode series ever! It ended after they beat Cherubimon right?.....RIGHT?!

Now that I've calmed down, I would guess that Digimon Around isn't a continuation of any series, since the demographic the show generally aims at would have been too young to remember. Unless it's a prequel to Adventure, where it showcases the original Chosen and thus caters to both old and new viewers.

But I'm banking on a complete reboot altogether.

I just really didn't Frontier. I stated my reasons in another Digimon thread. I don't feel like saying them again at the moment.

Please, please, PLEASE let this be true. I really didn't like Savers that much, if there is going to be a new Digimon series, I hope it reverts back to the styles of Adventure, Tamers and Frontier.

I guess I'm the only one here who liked Savers...
I liked all the previous Digimon seasons,
and I hope I feel no different with this one.
