My wish for Adult Swim is NO ANIME. Don't get me wrong, I like anime, but I want to see what adult animation America has to offer.
I'm hoping for.
One of the Bubblegum series , perhaps 2040 (or does it have to be edited to much, IE lots of digital bathing suits.) Or heck even the original followed by Crash.
Escaflowne: Redo the evil that was aired on Fox, bring back the shows artistic integrity.
Trigun: Again you might have to edit it. (LOL, Vash running into a hostage situation completly drunk for instance.) And lots of gunplay going on.
JLA: Though I would be cool with this if it didn't technically air on Toonami.
So how bout you guys.

Not much don't get me wrong there is adult animation in the US but it pails in comperatsion to French, and BC animation. IR rocks well they are now IR TV since IR made their TV deparment independant before they bit the dust.Originally posted by calhoun07

I wouldn't mind seeing one anime series on there, provided they pick something reasonably mature. And it would make for nice variety. Still, I wouldn't want anime to take over Adult Swim either, that's what Toonami is for.

You read it... you can't un-read it!
Since most anime series are short, they could shuffle different anime shows around. Instead of airing, say, Cowboy Bebop and Trigun at the same time, they could air CB first, then Trigun when CB is over. That way, you can air stuff without taking over timeslots.Originally posted by The Mad Hatter

I like the idea of seeing more mature oriented animation from countries other than Japan, and Canda. Nothing against Canada, of course, but we have O Canada already on CN. I'd love to see what kind of animated series we could get from France or Britian or what have you.
Well you have a bit of Canada as far as I know there is nothing from IR on CN since the FCC banned alot of their stuff but you are right European stuff would be neat on CNOriginally posted by calhoun07

I might wind up feeling stupid once I see the answer...but what is IR?
It stands for International Rocketship. It all started in 1969 when a close to failing art stundent by the nane of Newland in LA needed to make one more film to pass. The film he wanted to do required a sunset and it was forecasted to rain all week. Newland desided to draw the really short short Bambi meets Godzilla (basicly Bambi gets crushed by Godzilla) and not only did he graduate but the short was a hit amoung animation students of the time. Well after bouncing around North America from studio to studio he settled down in Vancouver and started IR and broke all the rules. He didn't give a crap if his shorts made money or not he made ads to cover the costs of his shorts and used the characters from his shorts in ads. He got the goverment to fund a animated porn short (well the goverment didn't know at first it was a animated porn but they couldn't back out once they agreed to give him the money). IR is most known character is Lupo the Butcher you might have seen him in the old Converse running shoes and MTV adsOriginally posted by calhoun07
