http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...ist-on-april-9The animeanime.jp website reports that the North American anime distributor Funimation will stream the 2009 Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood anime series on its own website starting on April 9 at 12:00 p.m. — four days after the Japanese television premiere. France will be able to see the same series on the YouTube video-streaming website.
Everybody saw this coming. Glad it happened so soon, though. No mention of subtitles though.
C'mon do something similar to Dragon Ball Kai, and you done something right for the 1,000,000 time.

This is pretty awesome. I was a huge fan of the original anime, so I am optimistic that this one will be good as well. Also, it seems like all the major anime companies are turning to the internet as the new distribution method.

I saw this coming a mile away. Good job for FUNi being awesome as usual.
Just as long as there's subtitles, hopefully.

TOM's final words of Toonami. The proof of what Toonami was aimed for and was meant for. Stay Gold. You will always be first and simply the best.
Haha, well done.
I would suggest that it's not the medium, but the quality of perception and expression, that determines the significance of art. But what would a cartoonist know? -Bill Watterson
Wow.
A while ago, I had had a hope that the comapies would "get" this concept in time to stream the 2nd season of Gundam 00 online.
One season later though is not bad either. Definitely a gigantic step in the right direction.

So that answers the question of whether the show is licensed or not...

This just made my week. Thanks FUNimation!
Smart move on FUNi's part. Hopefully this convinces fansubbers to NOT sub it.
Schweet. I'm not particularly excited for the new FMA (blasphemy I know), but, hey, free legal streams? Do I have any excuse not to tune in?![]()

I hope they plan on doing this for DB Kai to.Maybe it's a bad sign. FUNI, you better bring DB Kai over here! But anyway it'll be fun watching FMA.
