Death Note Rewrite 2 Question

Hey y'all,

This probably sounds crazy, but sitting here with the Death Note Rewrite 2 DVD, there's this one scene I'm confused about. When we see Takada and Mikami killing the SPK, how exactly are we meant to understand Takada got hold of the info?

I'm thinking that in the scene where Light talks to the president (the DVD isn't English subbed and I can't as yet find an English subbed version online), he blackmails him to leak info; is that right?

Just to be sure we're talking about the same thing, I remember how in the manga and anime Light blackmails the president to disband the SPK; what I'm here talking about is that in the rewrite, it seems he blackmails the president to leak info about the SPK, which he then gives Takada and has her send Mikami; am I right?

I think we are talking two different things. Especially when I keep seeing Takada and Mikami. (Teru/Taro or however his name is spelled?)

That sounds exactly how the manga went, minus Mikami and Takada that early. (I'm having a hard time remembering who Takada is as well.. At first I thought you were talking about people with Mello.)

Well, there were two anime rewrite specials released in Japan. The first was originally advertised as being from Ryuk's perspective, but contains little in the way of actual updates (apart from an alternate ending featuring L's funeral). It premiered August 2007.

Last August, a second one, this one focusing on the Near/Mello arc, came out. This one contains more updates, and so you know what I'm talking about:

It cuts out the mafia plot, so rather than Mello having a member test the Death Note and kill the SPK, Mikami and Takada are the ones to kill the SPK.

Oh, and yeah, it's "Teru."
