    Ani-Monday 6/16 - Ninja Scroll

    Like This Thread!
    Gee, kinda forgot about it, since it's been in reruns...

    It's movie night so they're replaying Ninja Scroll...I didn't care for it the first time around.


    Jubei is wandering noble sword for hire but when a chance meeting leads him to save young ninja woman from rape he makes enemies with a group of demonic humans. Jubei and the woman part ways but later a government spy forces Jubei to join up with her again and investigate the mysterious death of an entire village. The investigation reveals a conspiracy involving the demons and a man from Jubei’s past who is supposed to be dead. As they get closer to the truth the demons close in on them and pretty soon Jubei finds himself in a deadly fight with many super strong inhuman opponents.

    I took a look ahead, July is supposed to premeire:

    Sword for Truth on July 14th

    Ninja Scroll is the Bloodsport of anime. Violent, nonsensical, but it gives you a good feeling when it's on. It's a perfect Guys movie.

    Probably because they had no hand in the production. Usually the MTV Networks(Nickelodeon and its spinoffs, Spike, MTV, etc.) like to be involved in titles they pick up. They don't have a good track record with third-party shows.

    Ninja Scroll was the first adult anime I ever watched and it's still good fun to see to this day. It's got action, drama, political intrigue, humour, and a bit of sex. What more could you possibly want? :anime:

    I wish they'd hurry up and replay the newest Ghost in the Shell movie! They replayed the older one.


    They're airing Blood The Last Vampire twice...that makes a whole lotta sense...

    animondays has been around for a year now. June 12th was the first broadcast iirc.

    I'm looking forward to seeing Now and Then Here and There, since I just watched it the other day after someone recommended it to me.
