Yes, Jeri is Leomon's tamer, and in the 2nd Episode, even "Digimodified" old Leomon....
Spoiler:
Basicly, the gang met Andromon, who was attacking the Snake guy. Andromon got beat up, and they took him to the gekomon village, where we learn that the Gekomon are slaves of Snakeguy, and have to work all day making milkshakes. Andromon is healed, be de-digivolves to Guardmon. Snake guy shows up, kidnaps Jeri. Bummer..
The gang follow, and attack snake guy, Jeri uses the Lady devimon card on Leomon, and that defeats the Snake guy.
Then What's his face gets his digivice, and learns Guardmon is his partner.
This seems as good a place as any to ask this:
Can anyone give me a brief synopsis of the past season of Digimon? I watched the first few eps, and never got a chance to see anymore of them...
Oog. I'll try. Bear in mind, the previous two seasons have no bearing on this one.
Matsuda Takato is a sensitive, dreamy boy who loves the Digimon card game, even though he's no good at it and constantly loses to his friends Hiirokazu and Kenta. He makes up his own Digimon, Guilmon, and is shocked when a magic blue card makes his Digimon real. Guilmon is not very smart at first, and has to be taught to talk; he calls his tamer "Takatomon" for a while.
Takato soon meets two other tamers. Li Jenrya (Henry Wong in the dub) is the son of one of the video game's creators and got his Terriermon through a game. He had lost control of Terriermon and is reluctant to fight him. Makino Ruki (Rika in the dub) is the champion card player, and was sought out by a Renamon to achieve perfection. She lives for nothing but the fight and has no feelings for Renamon. Both slowly change to more middle ground over several episodes.
We also learn that there are a lot of "Wild Ones" that have no tamers. Two of these are playful Culumon, who helps them digivolve, and cranky Impmon, who ran away from his tamer. There is also a secret government project called Hypnos, run by a man named Yamaki seeking to destroy all digimon.
After Takato, Li, and Ruki come to terms with having these critters, and that takes a long time, the plot finally moves. Yamaki recruits Li's dad and the other creators to make a program that will kill off the digimon. Instead it backfires and the Deva Digimon, based on the Chinese zodiac, invade Earth. The tamers rally to destroy them while Yamaki makes another futile attempt. In the ensuing chaos, Takato's classmate Katou Juri tamed her Leomon and Culumon was kidnapped by the Monkey Deva and taken to the Digital World. The tamers, along with Hiirokazu and Kenta and later Jenrya's little sister Shuichon, followed to rescue him; Yamaki went home to sulk.
The Digital World is in collapse. Most of it has been damaged somehow (I'm not clear on this) and no one can digivolve. The tamers are split up almost immediately. The Monkey Deva clumsily loses Culumon, who wanders aimlessly. Impmon is spirited in by the Dog Deva who evolves him to Beelzebubmon in exchange for killing the tamers. We also meet a kid named Akiyama Ryou, an expert who gives the tamers a few pointers.
I haven't watched the episodes yet, but I know Hiirokazu got a Gaurdromon today.
Want the rest of the season? It's almost over in Japan and I can spill some of the rest.
