Japan TV Premieres This Winter Season: New 22+ Anime Series

Spring & Fall may be the big seasons when new shows begin to air on TV, but that doesn't mean Winter doesn't have its fair share of new series as well. This December & January in Japan, over 20 new anime shows are already scheduled to begin airing. & while big name series also might be reserved for different times of the year, there are a few goodies to look forward to here. Mostly in the way of sequels. The summer's surprise breakout series "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei" is going to be showing a second season, & a third ARIA series is also coming out as well.

Also in terms of sequels is an anime version of Persona, which will be a sequel to the popular video game series & will take place 10 years after the third game. & after being announced nearly 2 whole years ago, an anime adaptation of the dating sim game "True Tears" will finally be coming to Japanese TV as well. With it being 2 years in the making & originally thought to be coming out in late 2006 or early 2007, it better be as good as fans think it will be. well, one of those pictures looked like Rosario + Vampire, i like the manga, si il probably check it out, unless they change a bunch of stuff.

Ohh Persona. I remember somebody mentioning that before, but I can't remember who it was or where. I would really, really love to see it though. The animation looks nice and fluid.

The Fairy Tail manga has been running for just over a year. Most weekly manga only get an anime after 2-3 years, so that there's a fair amount of content to adapt. (Before anyone says it, Hunter x Hunter getting an anime after only one year is an exception)

Don't expect a Fairy Tail anime until at least next Fall, but more likely 2009.

I'm a little disappointed there's still no 666 Satan anime. Maybe in Spring.

Spring should hopefully also get the second seasons of Haruhi and Code Geass.

yeah, Persona's based on the Persona video games, and not many thngs based on video games are ever......good, but i might still chech it out.

Lack of Shonen Sunday seriously disappoints me, and no say Major is up there, because it's just season 4.. I still want a second part to Kenichi and an Ai Kora anime.

But the only thing I'm looking forward to is Rosario + Vampire.

Dude, Fairy Tail hasn't even hit 100 chapters yet. I mean, chapter 64 just got published this week. Be a bit more patient. We should see some announcement for the series sometime next year.

Believe me, I'm just as eager as anyone for a Fairy Tail anime but we'll just have to wait it out for a bit. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Hiro Mashima has cold feet in getting this series animated considering the disaster that was RAVE.

You talking about Clannad? Because I'd like to correct you, the original Clannad game is not an erogame, it has no depiction of nudity. Though I'm in agreement that another FMP would be a nice surprise, but that's probably going to come at a much later time.

I think the main point is that Key sucks, everything about them sucks and KyoAni being taken up with adatption of thier suck sucks.

The world needs more series of FMP than it does remakes of Kannon.

I just saw the first 2 episodes the other week at my anime club, and I thought it looked pretty cool. But I'd need to see the rest of Season 1 before I could say that I'm looking forward to season 2.

Maybe. But series like Naruto and Bleach took until they hit the 3 year mark to animate, and Inuyasha took 4 years. There's nothing that says that a series has to be animated after only 2 years.

I'd say Fall 2008 is the earliest we could see it(okay, there's a slim, slim possibility of getting it for the 2 year anniversary in August 2008), but really I think Spring 2009 is more likely.
