I just logged in, and new shows will be added every Thursday. Currently 12 shows are available:
Ah! My Goddess Flights Of Fancy
Air Gear
BASToF Syndrome
Chance Pop Session
Comic Party Revolution
Gilgamesh
Jinki Extend
Kurau Phantom Memory
Magical Play
Pani Poni Dash!
Saiyuki
Utawarerumono
It also looks like the setup will be similar to [adult swim] video and Toonami Jetstream in terms of how long they have them up, so I don't see how they're being pawned. It'll be nice to start watching the rarely seen ADV stuff though. Hopefully FUNi will do something similiar.

College football, basketball, the NFL, the NBA, and MLB. I may not be an expert, but these sports always keep me fascinated if the game is good!

Well in the perspective of anime fans? Yeah they did get pwned, cause its the first time anime fans have had that number of shows streaming for free.

Actually, Jetstream also has a dozen shows available for streaming too.
So ADV is the one supporting this, right? Pretty cool, I guess. They have a wide variety of titles so hopefully they'll add a good deal more in the future.

Nothing on there looks that good. Jinki Extend and Phantom Memory might be, but niether is particularly high on my "must watch" list.
I think they were just referring to anime, but Jetstream does have the following anime:
Naruto
Zatch Bell
Megaman Star Force
The Prince of Tennis
MÄR
Hikaru No Go
Dragonball
Dragonball Z
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo
One Piece
Poke'Mon Jhoto League Champions
(previously) Poke'Mon Jhoto Journies
That's 11 current, whereas Anime Network has 12 current up, so there isn't that much difference, but alot of Anime Network is new to most people, whereas only half of the Jetstream ones are. Then again, once Zoids Genesis and Eyeshield 21 join the line-up, well, I'd take Jetstream any day of the week. I'm still going to check out the Anime Network shows though.

Considering how much better the encoding quality of this is compared to Jetstream and [as], I'd say that alone makes them pwned. And I'd say they have a pretty decent selection as well.

Nothing on there interests me in the very least.

Eh, I'd actually say Jetstream's overall streaming quality is a little better. With Jetstream you can go fullscreen, plus it's divided into smaller scenes (whereas Anime Network puts the shows on in one big 25-minute blob).

Eh, not bad, but yeah, not much on there that interests me. Good thing I already have a subscription to Anime Network on Demand.
"Breaker breaker, Sidewinder, this is Party Pooper, don't want to be a ratchet jaw, but looks like we got a seat cover feeding the bears in a chicken coop come on."
Awesome. Too bad on the selection, but once they have Le Chevalier D'Eon, then I shall make my move.
Not bad, just another step ADV is taking to get in reach with the fans.
Wow, 12 new shows a week. Sounds nice, but who has time to watch 6 hours of anime every week? Maybe over Christmas break I'll try to watch some of these shows but it'll be near impossible to keep up with them all.
Dude, no one's getting pwned by this. The shows on this and Jetstream and [as] vid are completely different, so it's not like this is drawing users away from those two. People can very easily watch all three services.
That said, I'm not interested in watching any of the shows included yet.
Reality is only for those who can't handle Star Trek.
Now that I've thought about it for a bit, maybe this would be a good place with Keroro Gunsou to start... Then if it has a strong following, maybe they can make the next big step to television broadcast.
These Anime Network people never cease to spoil me.
It's annoyed me that the channel always cut off Paniponi Dash after the end credits, because there was always something extra just before the preview.
Now that they've entered into the streaming video business, they've no reason to edit for time. :anime:
EDIT: I also saw a couple of episodes of Kurau Phantom Memory in my anime club last summer and it wasn't as boring as I feared it would be.

Toonami on [as] Saturdays at 12amET. Now with more Sara.
I'd like this alot better if the sound didn't skip so much. Could be my slightly laggy computer or the animated banner ad on the screen.![]()
Awesome job ADV. I just hope they put Nerima Daikon Brothers and/or Excel Saga on there.

I just noticed this and I've gotta say I'm thrilled.
Toonami Jetstream is going to look like the kiddie pool for streaming anime now which is a darn shame because that will make CN make sure it acts the part which is the last thing Jetstream needs. You can't top Jetstream for shounen anime though and that's my favorite kind so it's not losing my attention.
However, if TAN Online brings me SGT Frog then I'll definently be happy to watch it (assuming of course SGT Frog doesn't get a better home).
This is an excellent move for ADV though. Hopefully they wont blow it by only offering "samples" of their shows and never streaming every episode but that would be business as usual for them.
