How long after a series ends does the boxset usually comes out? I am trying to figure out when the .hack//roots boxset arrives. The last volume should be arriving Febuary or March.

and it varies, one can never be sure.

It depends on how well the singles sell. In the case of singles not selling very well (Planetes, Mars Daybreak), a boxset will come out pretty fast. However, if the singles sell pretty decently or very well (Fullmetal Alchemist, Gundam SEED/Destiny), boxsets may take a while.

If a .hack//ROOTS comes out before Fall 2008, then it's more likely the former reason rather than the latter (though with Bandai, just staying afloat is also a reason).

They I think had an artbox for the series, so a full DVD set may be awhile in coming if it ever does. You're better off looking for a big sale like RightStuf's deals or maybe DeepDiscount than you are in waiting for a complete box set.
