    Seen Any Good AMVs Lately?

    Like This Thread!
I think the release of AMV Hell really reignited my interest in the subject. I discovered a pretty good Big O one set to "99 Red Balloons." and another with a GTA motif.

Also been watching this Berserk one, which I like far more than anyone should probably like something with Bon Jovi in it. (-:

Anybody else seen anything good lately?

i used this site in the past to find links to good videos. However, they stopped running this year (a real shame, too).

Is there any other sites that list the winners for the contests?

I usually can find a bunch of AMVs on YouTube.

I like to embed them to my MySpace page

But the first one that I recall that got me into AMVs was a Zero Tolenace Naruto AMV.
That one isn't on my MySpace page as of now, but you could find it on YouTube.

Ah, yes! There was a great one I saw at a convention in April. It was FMA doing the classic Strongbad hit, Trogdor the burninator.

Perhaps the catchiest AMV I've seen lately is Skittles, using Haruhi as its basis. Every time I see it, I can't stop watching it until the end.

I know using Linkin Park songs in AMVs is cliche, but this Code Geass one set to "What I've Done" is actually really good. There are spoilers for the end of season 1.

Also on the topic of Geass, I'm not necessarily much of a LuluxShirley shipper, but this vid set to "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace gets me every time.

But my favorite AMV still remains the Sasuke tribute set to "Shackled" by Vertical Horizon.

GaoGaiGar set to Karma by Kamelot. The song just fit the show's hot bloodedness (is that even a word?). :P Good timing, too.

    And, some from Darkandroid.
    Doomsday set to Afro Samurai.
Anthem set to Groove Master Rave/Rave Master

Most of my favorite AMV's come from a YTer named supernanny, who mostly make One Piece AMV's. From time to time she does things like in the style of AMV Hell, which is known as "Project One Piece" Here is segment 3 set to the Thriller Bark Saga. Warning as most scenes take place in a point in time where most of the american audience isn't. You have been warned

I like the ones where she set it to one character, so far my favorite ones are
Son of a Swordsman (Zoro) set to the song "Son of a Man", Usopp to Sogeking, set to Hercules "Zero to Hero" and Chopper's Monster Point set to the song "Monster"

Trigun to Goldfinger's Superman which makes use of the song subject quite well.

The sound quality for this one isn't the best, but I like FMA to Less Than Jake's All My Best Friends Are Metalheads which is fun to watch.

The thing that surprises me about that one was that it is apparently the second AMV he's made. Better than many that I've seen. Glad I downloaded it instead of passing over it (I tend to avoid ones that say "This is my [first, second, third], blah blah blah").

Anyway, I like Hold Me Now, a Princess Tutu AMV (spoilers for the whole show in it, btw). Lovely song, too.

"If there are gods, then why is the world full of so much pain and suffering?
    "Because of men like you."

Bride of Berserk is a great comedy AMV.

    these three are my favorites.

first theres this one AMV dedicated to Bakura from Yugioh using the song "Time of Dying" by Three Days Grace which i think kicks ass.

second is this one amv about Bardock from that DBZ special i think is badass, the song is "We're All To Blame" by Sum41.

third is this berserk amv, its the coolest, its surprisingly welldone seeing what was used to make it, also i love the music (song is Dark Tranquillity - The Wonders At Your Feet).
