I go to a lot of anime forums but Toon Zone may be a place that I become a regular at, not only for anime but for all of the different forums, but that's besides the point. Anyway on said forums people always mention so many animes that I never heard of, I usually watch Toonami, Action Encore, WAM, for anime (and currently Spike's Afro Samurai). I guess my question is where in the world do some of you find the time to watch all of these anime? And where do you view them? "Besides Youtube"
I really don't know, myself. I usually follow about two or three shows weekly running in Japan (right now, that's D.Gray-man and Death Note) and about two or three (max) shows on DVD through Netflix (right now, those would be GaoGaiGar and Gundam Seed Destiny) and that's about it. And I don't even go out much or do extra-curriculur activities, either. Anime and the occasional video game are basically my hobbies, and since I Netflix and GameFly everything for that (courtesy year long subscriptions from my parents each Birthday and Christmas) I don't spend too much money on either. *shrugs* Then, you go over to AoD or AnimeSuki and hear these people marathoning full shows each weekend, and following about 20 others weekly along with it, and I have no idea how they do it!
Also, we aren't allowed to discuss how we view these shows (including YB)... but PM me if you actually wanted suggestions... *cough* *cough* *sniffle* *sneeze*
Easy, I don't watch useless American television shows. Seriously, what would I be watching instead, American Idol and the crappy reality show of the month?
Certainly true, just saying that I don't watch that much network television and so the time a lot of people spend watching that I pretty much spend on anime instead. As you said there are good shows but not that many, so basically for me anime fills the gap.Hey, now. There are some very worthwhile American TV shows like Studio 60 or Lost. Just not very many.
When I don't have school or work, I'm able to catch several of my faves.
Saturday is an ideal anime-watching time for me, on TV during the morning and evening, and, when I feel like it, on DVD in the afternoons.

Actually, I don't have much time to watch anime.![]()
I watch most of my anime at the college's Anime Club, which is actually a preety cool (if enncentirc) group.

As for how I watch anime, I mostly just watched Toonami and Adult Swim through high school and didn't start branching out until my first semester of college. I had a really easy schedule with classes only in the morning and very little homework so could spend afternoons checking out things. That was how I caught up with Naruto, for example. But this semester I'm a lot busier with harder classes and I'm playing softball. I don't get much of a chance to watch except for on the weekends. Saturdays have become a day for me just to relax and that's when I watch some of my favorites. If I have a day during the week that I don't have much to do on, I might catch an episode or two. So basically, whenever I have time (which isn't often) is when I watch.

During the winter and summer breaks me and my friends usually gather and watch one of the new animes that we all want to watch together. Its usually a comedic one. I usually also watch 3-5 series of my own at these times as well. During the time school is in session it gets a little tougher. I don't have any extracurriculars but with studying and going to school time is a little more tighter. I usually try to watch 1-2 animes during this time. I only started watching so much anime on my own relatively recently. Back in the day I uses to watch it only when it was toonami or adult swim.
So in short I make the time whenever I can sometimes more time sometimes less but there is always time to watch an episode here and there.

Like many, I don't get involved in many extra-cirricular activities, although in high school I often stayed after to be in the anmie club.
I usually watch my DVDs during two time periods:
6:15PM-8PM: PTI's off the air, and nothing special's on until 8PM usually (which is also when I eat dinner).
11PM-1AM: This is when all the good stuff is over, but it's before the good stuff on Adult Swim.
Saturdays I don't usually watch TV until Toonami since I'm out most of the day. Sundays are only occupied during football season (and Orioles games).
I also watch DVDs on my computer if my mom is watching a show I'm not all interested in (like Deal or No Deal, Medium, etc.)
However, my lack of job-ness means I have a lack of funds, meaning I haven't been able to watch much DVD-only stuff, especially stuff I don't get screeners for (Oh, how I would love to splurge on all these re-released collections).
