It looks like FMP Second Raid will be a four volume release instead of three. Oh well, I'll still be picking them up.

Also, I have an immense Kodocha backlog. Still haven't picked up vol. 7+ yet, and with how quickly they're being released, combined with my fairly limited budget... yikes.

Looks like FUNimation is releasing Afro Samurai with two versions: The Spike TV version and the Uncut version. And I'm pretty sure this won't be an IGPX situation(with the Toonami version and the uncut version not being that much different).

"Team of Four." That's a good name for the fourth YYH collection. I won't be picking it up as I already have the 32 disks, but I still like to check it out.

I'm thinking about picking up the Kodocha set. I liked what little I saw on Colours, so we'll see.

I'm not seeing the point of that move. Would anyone buy the Spike version? That would be like releasing the Adult Swim version of Cowboy Bebop.

The SpikeTV version will be edited for the patience impaired and will probably feature more Samuel L. Jackson one-liners.

    That's my guess anyway.

Good point. Last I heard was their statement at Otakon that they were holding off on it because they were looking to get it on TV, seems like that process is taking pretty long though. They have the first volume designed and everything, they showed off the cover art at the panel. Hmm...

Spike's is probably MA. The original will probably be unrated. I imagine the Japanese TV airing might be edited as well if that's the case.

Well the trailer had Ninja Ninja dropping F-bombs, so I can see how that would get cut out.

My guess is that Afro Samurai wasn't cheap and that two versions squeezes a little big more money out of the property. It allows them to charge a premium for the uncut version ($39.98) and it puts a cheaper version out there for people who saw it on TV and don't really care, but will pick it up due to cheapness.

Man thats alot of boxsets I want. Funimation really has the best titles coming out.
"Winter is coming." "Bango Skank was here." "The enemy gate is down" "Death is lighter than a feather, duty heavier than a mountain."

I guess based on my calculations new Case Closed episodes will be coming again in November. A long wait, but I guess its worth it.

Funi has some nice stuff coming out next year, some things I've been meaning to checkk out.

From the list,I'm most excited about Peach Girl(I loved the manga)....though admittedly,I'm also wondering when they plan on releasing Tsubasa...
I'm definately getting the Yu Yu Hakusho set,and I may also get the Rumbling Hearts DVDs(They had a sampler DVD with episode one on it in this month's Newtype, and it looks interesting)...
