    The 'DUB' thread

    Like This Thread!
I'm personally a 'dubbed' anime fan, myself. I like to draw while watching my shows. Utena & Escaflowne are the only two that I actually prefer the subtitles, though(I don't think Utena's voice was all that great in the dub..)

Anyway. What is veryone's favorite Dub?!

I think Cowboy Bebop has all the right voices...very fine talent there.

    Best Dubbed:
    Neon Genesis Evangelion
    Cowboy Bebop

    Dubbed O.K.:
    Blue Submarine No. 6
    Gundam Wing

    Badly Dubbed:
The Big O (It's not the voices...it's the cheesy dialouge)
    Dragonball Z (1st & 2nd seasons)

Uhm...Hehe, Thundercats isn't an anime. It was made right here in America(or maybe Canada...I dunno). So, it's not a dubbed show..hehehe

But, Sailor Moon is aweful beyond belief. So are the edits...ack

Actually it was made by japanese people(The credits show tons of japanese names) that was why it's so cool.

Actually it was just animated in Japan, everything else was Stateside.

As for dubs, it really depends on whether I see the series subbed or dubbed first. Anyway, as long as the dub doesn't make me want to gouge out my ears with ice picks I'm fine with it.

See the thing is that alot of times Dubs don't translate the original Jappanesse (or whatever language) as closely as the subs do (which aren't always accuarte anyway.)

Gundam Wing had a good dub. All that got changed for the TV version was the word kill, Duo's nickname, blood and a few words were slightly changed to fit the flaps (example-cake being changed to treats in Endless Waltz). They also cut any of the profanity.
