Considering this is based on the anime, and I have little knowledge on the game, please bare with me.

In regards to my thoughts, I am very pleased with how the anime is being heald, especially given the quality of it too. The animation seemed to be produced for High Definition purposes (aka, Widescreen), and does have fluential animation. The colors are pretty... Well Colorful, and the character designs match their original counterparts.

As for the story, well, sense this was a promotional clip, I can't exactly rate anything on the anime currently, however, it did give some of the personalities of the characters from the game. Laharl, Etna and Flonne seem to retain their same game counterparts, including Flonne's... Love Obsession.

Vyers is only in the pilot very briefly, but he has a slight homosexual accent to him. But I guess this does fit his character perfectly. Again, his design is faithful to the original game designs.

As for the voices, they're all very well done. Currently I have to look up the names, but I reconise a few VAs in there.

Also, music wise, even though it was short, was pretty nice orchestra soundining, with a slight "corn" effect to it. (It's a little cheesy somewhat, but it does fit the atmosphere rather well)

There was also a promotional clip in Disgaea 2 (which you have to unlock by completeling some tasks in the game) that seemed to be targetted for the anime. This clip was actually produced in FullScreen, but this isn't a big loss. Basically it had the characters exploding on Laharl the many interesting things of anime. Poor Laharl gets beaten to death, as the Disgaea 2 characters just watch in Horror. :anime:

Regardless, the anime may be shaping up to something nice. I'll defeantly be keeping my eye out on this. Also, there's a chance this anime may be licensed by Geneon USA. While there's no credits on them specifically, considering Geneon Japan is involved with this, there's the chance the USA division has this...
