Wow...where the heck have you been? Fox Kids announced well over a month ago it was going to stop weekday programming. Its only on Saturdays now...sucks, huh?
I have to admit, I'm a rabid Season 3 Digimon fan, and I was watching it and getting all excited when they suddenly stopped playing it on FoxKids! What happened? Now all that's on that channel at that time in the afternoon is Roseanne and I was just getting used to recuperating from a childhood of THAT.
Could someone please fill me in? And explain to these corporate meatheads that Saturday morning cartoons are not going out of style for those of us with brains in our heads instead of haggis.

And on a potentially related note, when is Disney going to euthanize the ABC Family line-up of Bad Dog, What's With Andy, and their ilk, and put something else on? This is the great hope of the Digimon fans who want daily reruns. I heard January, but there's been no movement yet.

Geez, am I out of the loop! I had no idea the FoxKids people said that! Well, goes to show what can happen when you don't have continuous internet access...
And I am really hoping for some more substantial broadcasting sometime soon. Digimon was the only "kid's" show on TV that really had some philosophical meat in it.

Digimon and Power Rangers are expected to move to ABC Family sometime in the next couple of months.
Does anyone know what Fox Kids plan to do once they're rid of these shows, say a possible return of Escaflowne perhaps?

I'd personally like to know what happened to the Escaflowne movie?
I guess Fox Kids tried to market off an already-hot thing, but ultimately, I dont think they realize how much anime fans hate kiddification. Escaflowne is one of the few times I've actually prefered sub over the dub(What can I say, I like dubs?).
Anyway, I guess Escaflowne wont be seeing a nationwide release anymore. Heck, we'll be luck if its released to any theater at all!
I have the imported Escaflowne movie on VCD... it's wicked cool.

Escaflowne is now Exhibit A in How Not To Edit and Dub an Anime. Fox lost much face for how it was manhandled. The dub will probably not be seen again. I'd kind of like to see the show myself, since it's supposed to be incredible.

Nobody ever said Escaflowne the movie would be marketed for theatres. Fox never implied that it would try, and Bandai didn't give any indications that it was pushing it hard for theatrical release either. Anyway, Bandai still has the movie on schedule for a DVD release in the next few months.Originally posted by JustJack

It was an okay TV show. Part of it is like a top drawer Gundam series, and part of it devolves into love triangle shoujo mush. Lovely visuals, though. Would be great for Toonami or Midnight run.
