Anyone see the new commercial for Benihana?

Benihana recently started running an animated commercial that was clearly a takeoff on manga. I wonder if anybody on this board has seen it, and if they have, what they thought of it.

I thought they were a Japanese resturant, with the gimmicky chefs that cook everything in front of you. I remember going there like 13 years ago, and thought it was delicious, but it's probably no better than any other resturant.

As for the commercial, it's on their web site. It's fairly average, which is to be expected for a resturant chain that isn't available throughout the country. It's generic designs with generic futuristic setting with heavily computer assisted animation that really isn't all that 'animated'. Nothing worth the bother to look for.

That had lower production values than flash-based hentai...




And to think I paused trying to figure out how to buy Japanese stock for that... (There's a reason why the picture on Studio Pierrot's front page is Naruto holding his froggy-wallet stuffed with cash...) I want a piece of that.

You mean the Geico commercials featuring the anime Speed Racer?

That would be the e-surance commercials. Only problem is, I'd rather watch a show based on these people in the e-surance commercial than I would Kim Possible.

Still, none of these beat Production IG's T-Mobile commercials.
