KWB's Cardcaptors ain't that good, but it has a cool theme song.
Card Captors
A mystic adventure
Card Captors
A quest for all time.
Card Captors
*a slight pause.*
Card captors!!!!!
Runs to dodge deadly Otaku level 5 attacks.

The url doesn't seem to work at the moment, nor has anyone paid attention when I've posted it in the past, but there's a video online of the original CCS theme song- reenacted by a full-grown Japanese man. THAT is worth seeing.

Guy, you'd better scoot on over to google and check out the archives on what was done to Cardcaptor Sakura to make Cardcaptors. Check year 2000--Cardcaptors--Nelvana.
Knock yourself out. I took part in the fun.

There's also this guide- http://www.cardcaptors-uncensored.com/
with links to DBZ and Pokemon comparison sites. So the museum ep(#7) did get dubbed? The funny thing is, when I got it on video, I really started thinking that Tomoyo ("Madison") and that 'boy' could be cute 2gether. What a nice surprise I got. I luv CCS.

Well, I don't love the show; it's quite possible that there are people who may dislike it even in the original form. I've seen the whole series now, but I'm lukewarm on the series as a whole. The ones that shine for me, however, are the Meilin episodes. She's just too cute, with that crabby, possessive attitude and adorable vulnerability.
-
I luv Meilin too! She's so cute! Reminds me a bit of Shampoo from Ranma 1/2.
-
I also!
I almost dismissed Cardcaptors as girlie fluff until Mei-Lin came along, because that's about the time Li and Sakura stopped their bothersome bickering and started working together more closely. She's such a grabby, jealous brat--maybe a little overdone, but the scary thing is, I know girls like that. She's at her most hilarious in the ice-skating episode; she catches cold, not being accustomed to the cold (reminded me of the Japanese exchange students at ASU, who would get sick and stuffy because of the more temperate climate in the South). I have a weakness for love triangles--watching them, anyway; I promised myself I'd never get involved in another!

I feel the inverse...
The show is not that bad. It's no "Tenchi", but it's still watchable. I've heard that the edited Nelvana version and the original Japanese version were two completely different shows. Maybe I'll check out the original one day.
As for that theme song, it's in a three-way tie with "TV Funhouse" and "Diff'rent Strokes" for all-time cheesiest theme song. I mean, we are talking major Muenster, here. Lotsa limburger, bursting with brie, filled with...well, you get the idea. But those other two themes are appealing enough to be somewhat likable. This theme, however, is like nails (the kind you hammer with) on a chalkboard.

Ironically, the best TMNT episodes were animated in Japan.
