In one simple description, is the new Sonic X episodes good or bad?

I just needed to know how people feel about it, because from worries of complete DBGT ripoff to just being dubbed inconsistently like 4kids has done so many times in the past, is this third season of Sonic X good?

Many argue that it takes from Dragonball GT quite a bit but I'd argue more somthing on the lines of Nadeisco...

There was actually a commerical for the new Sonic X season on 4Kids today. Among other such things, it showed

The return of Shadow, Eggman having to work with Sonic, Knuckles and Sonic fighting again

And it did look pretty interesting. Glad to hear that despite some GTish plot devices I found about the show

It's actually becoming a darker, more mature show. I hope it still has some of it's humor though. I also hope it dosen't become a lot more editted due to it's content. For 4kids, Sonic X was a fairly well done dub, but the more darker things get.... well the more cutty cutty 4Kids get.

Yes. Pretty good stab wound, but wasn't "too deep". Atleast from what I can tell.

It's awesome, that's what it is. I've only seen the French version, but it's by far as enjoyable (and even moreso on many occasions) than the Japanese version... Anyway, I haven't seen much of Dragonball Z so I wouldn't know how much SONIC project adapted from it, but season 2 of Sonic X provides a much more darker and mature tone than the previous "la la land" of the first season; SONIC project does not hesitate to successfully execute themes such as death, love, and redemption. Season 2 of Sonic X is to Season 1 as the Saturday morning series of Sonic the Hedgehog is to Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (to an extent); that's how much the storyline has changed since.

I highly recommend you watch either the French or Japanese version to understand how much the two seasons differ.

I don't know, Season 1 could get pretty dark at times. Recall when Shadow and Eggman's long-gone grandfather Dr. Robotnik were threatening the world, some of the unpleasant secrets uncovered by military investigators when they dug into why they were threatening the world....

That was a classic example of anime melodrama at its best.

What I'd like to see is a bigger role for Helen in the second season. Her debut was one of Sonic X's best episodes last season, but they largely ignored her thereafter. She seemed to interact as well with Sonic as Chris did, but without Chris' personal flaws that being with Sonic seemed to bring to the surface at times. Cream and Cheese also seemed like superfluous characters early on in Season 1, though they did seem to get a better handle on Cream as the season went on.

Well, in regard to Shadow, it's just another example of you can't take a character's demise at face value unless you see a body (sometimes not even then).
