    The anime block on CN

Well, yesterday Cardcaptors made its debut on Cartoon Network. I was hoping to see some uncut episodes that KWB never aired, but it was "Sakura's Rival". I don't know if they're going to just recycle the 16-ep package from the frog or throw in some uncut new ones...but I hear alter this month KWB is showing some new episodes, so I'm looking forward to that.

Ohhhhhhh...what they did on Tenchi Muyo! They're showing a three-part episode concerning Lil' Washue and her dimensional warp generator. It overloaded after all the others programmed their ideas into it and whisked Tenchi and company into alternate realities. In one Ryoko and Princess Aiaka are Catholic schoolgirls and Tenchi is the guy they are fighting over (which even in other worlds never changes)...and Tsasami is a Sailor Moon-esque heroine. It seems she has the power to grant friendship and love with her arrows..and after Aiaka and Ryoko get to squabbling in the schoolyard over Tenchi she shoots them both with her arrows. Now...the two start blushing and talking about this warm new feeling they're getting, then start hugging and talking about friendship, and after that... ...well, they edit it very strangely, not showing the girls' faces, but from the flush on their cheeks, the crowd's horrified reaction, and the "teachers" (Kijone and that ditzy blonde partner of hers) comments of "What are they doing?" and "I've never see annything like that in this school before!"--I've got a hell of a hunch they're doing more than hugging and making friends, if you catch my drift!

Ah, now I get it. The cross-promoting thing. Get some CN viewers to watch KWB.

I saw that one a while back. And actually, I've come across 1-2 Ryoko/Ayeka coupling shrines on the web. And why not? Li and Sakura started off as romantic rivals too.

Judging from the lack of specificity as to why you hated them, I'd say it's just a prejudice on your part. Or lack of exposure. It's like watching Armageddon, Pearl Harbour and Freddy Got Fingered and hating Hollywood based on a few films. But most likely it's just prejudice. That's not a criticism, because I too have my prejudices. I, for one, cannot stand CGI/computer generated/what-have-you cartoons. Can't get into Toy Story movies, Max Steel, Action Man...
