Honestly what the hell is up with the manga release schedule?

Anyways I'm noticing a heavy increase in the yaoi-esque titles, and a sharp decrease in everything else. Honestly I got the first volume of Sakura Wars, I read it, I finished it, and apparently the next volume is coming out in December. I mean it's also the same thing with SGT.Frog, Vol.9 is out now and Vol.10 is also coming in December(however the Japanese version got some sort of Gundam Natsumi figure so maybe they are planning on doing it here in the states). It's like HERE TAKE A LOOK AT SOMTHING COMPLETELY AWSOME....and then there's a long lag and then you eventually forget about it. I mean Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is coming in the end of September, but JJBA has been out for years, the series also has rather big gaps inbetween releases in america. Heck I can't even find volume 2 of Pilgrim jager, even though Vol.1 was good. Also there's nothing on battle Angel Alita Last Order Vol.6 either. It's like they are denying all things cool and exploding and trying to suffocate them out of existance with male/male sequences that make my mind scream in terror.

I think the only thing with a half-decent release Schedule is Yotsuba&!...

One possible reason: some manga has caught up to the original Japanese manga to a point where there's just one year between the original Japanese manga and the American release. Thus, to give some time between the Japanese and American version, the wait for the release of the American version sometimes becomes longer and longer. I know this because that's what going on with Negima (which has a one year gap between the Japanese and American versions, with the American version being released quarterly a la the Japanese versions).

It's not just volume 10, it's 10-17. Japan also got an alternate cover for the volume 10 that came with the toy (that was a Gundam box mock-up ). I doubt we'll be seeing either.

And you seem to know quite a bit about SGT frog, so you should know that volume 10 just came out in Japan last Feburary. It's a 10-month wait, but it would be a much longer wait between 10 and 11 if they released 10 in two months. (Because 11 isn't even out yet in Japan)
