I bet he'd go SEED-mode in that battle because I'm pretty sure Athrun would love to shut Shinn's mouth once and for all. Especially after the last episode.Originally Posted by Riza Hawkeye
Athrun over Shinn, and this has nothing to do with my dislike for Shinn because he is a good pilot. Even though, Shinn has his 'berserker SEED-mode', Athrun has his own SEED-mode that he has yet to show in Destiny. Athrun got the short end of the stick in Saviour and I don't think he was able to show exactly what that machine was capable of doing. Part of that can be traced back to Athrun mixed feelings because I don't believe he really want to kill Orb soliders, even if they were the enemy. Shinn was the opposite, as Duke stated, his attitude was more along the lines of, 'All my enemies must die!' so he hasn't held back at all.
I believe that Athrun is a better pilot than Shinn and that he would win if he were to ever battle Shinn.

If you're thinking that would be enough to send Athrun into SEED-mode, just imagine this; imagine if Kira wasn't there to step in and protect Cagalli in 28 when Shinn fired on her unprovoked. It's a little disappointing that, Athrun did nothing to stop the attack on Cagalli, he stopped Kira when he was going to disable Impluse (Athrun knew Kira wouldn't kill him), and he didn't set Shinn right about attacking Cagalli for no reason.Originally Posted by Hildebrand
Someone needs to set Shinn straight soon before he falls more into the darkside, to use a SW analogy. The only two chatacters in the show that have the ablity to takedown Shinn are Athrun and Kira, as far as I can tell.

It's sad that they can't make up words like the other AU Gundam series.Originally Posted by Riza Hawkeye
I don't understand what it should be considered a "Legend". But that makes four Gundams on the Minerva's side, since Zakus are unreliable scrap that only serve to stay onboard the ship because most of the time they were deployed in the series they had to stay on it because they can't fly or hover in water. Oh and before we continue to amass a large number of pages...
HA HA! ...Enhance.
So...a new Providence complete with DRAGOONs, and of course Rey is weilding it. Heh, finally Rey will have a much better chance to shine. This should be cool.
Have any pictures of this Legend Gundam been released or is it one of the gundams in the 3rd ending?
Also, Kira is treated like a god cause he is the "ultimate coordinator". Whatever he does is uber compared to everybody else.![]()
I really think they're starting to run out of names for Gundams.
Really? What gave you that idea?Originally Posted by Van Fleihight
I can't wait to see what names the'll come up with for the next SEED series.
Whaddya wanna bet they just took random words out of the English dictionary, put them in a hat, and then picked them at random?
I'm surprised there hasn't been a Liberty Gundam yet. I guess that's the new Freedom next series or something...
Spubman: Defender of the Way of the Spub's Thingy of the Time Being:
Anime: Miso Soup for the Soul
Didn't the first few Gundam names actually have meanings? No...That was the end of SEED and it would mean these names weren't just random...
It is the Gundam from the 3rd ending, but if you want pics:Originally Posted by Van Fleihight

Sorry about the double post, but since this is unrelated to Legend Gundam, I'm making this another post...

Shinn has the dubious honor of being the first main Gundam pilot that I utterly hate. Before him, they would just get on my nerves from time to time (Camille and Kira mostly). But Shinn, is far too cocky and arrogant. I can understand his anger for the death of his family, but he's far too unreasonable. He refuses to take any blame that he rightfully deserves. He needs to get severely beaten. Plus, no one talks back to Athrun and gets away with it! I think he just needs to lose a battle, he's more or less won all the battles he's fought. Except when Freedom sliced Impulse's arm off, that doesn't really count since Shinn never did any actual fighting against Freedom, IIRC. I think Kira and/or Athrun should get the honor of utterly defeated Shinn. Perhaps they will kill him. *pictures Shinn's cockpit getting pierced by a Freedom beam saber*
On the subject of Kira...I officially retract all my "Kira/ArchAngel is/are too self-righteous" statements. In light of recent events in the show (and GWO's "long post" on the subject towards the end of part 3), I re-evaluated my opinion of him and realized that I mostly agree with the AA's stance on things.
It seems Rey is joining the cocky club, at least that's the impression I got from 31. Perhaps some Rau is peaking through. I assume that next episode will have Gundam destruction left and right, since it's about time for the second wave to be revealed.
Backtracking a bit to episode 28 (sorry I didn't post my thoughts then), it's a shame to see Saviour go down that easily. Considering it only was in about 5 battles and, as said before, never got a true chance to shine. It was just their to sell model kits. It may as well have been a super-chaged Zaku as far as the plot was concerned. It was about as effective as one anyway.
One more thing, when will Lacus make her move? She's been in space for what has to be about three weeks in "show time." What has she been doing, writing a new song aboard the Eternal? Actually, that could be, we're due for a new Lacus song. "Mizu no Akashi" debuted around this time in SEED, so perhaps we'll get one in the mid-30's of Destiny as well.
Although I'm a few days late...Happy (Belated) Birthday, GWOtaku!

I think it`s pretty obvious by now that Shinn is supposed to be hated.
Looking at future spoilers, Shinn will get even more cocky. Heck, by some act of god he`ll manage to, and this is after he gets pissed at Kira.Spoiler:
Shinn is definitely going to become a villain, which IMO, is an interesting twist.

Nameless Destiny staff members answer fan questions every month in Comic Bon Bon. Last time, someone asked who the top 3 pilots in the show were and the response was this: "If we compare only their pure abilities, Kira is indisputably at the top. A little behind him is Shinn and following that is Athrun."Originally Posted by Timmay
