    Weird lines in tv/cartoon/anime series

    Like This Thread!
Sometimes this kind of lines do not make any sense at all, here are a couple of examples:

Dragon Ball Z: Bardoc The father of Goku
After his crew was killed by Dodoria's men, Bardock insults them calling the pigs, the thing is they are in another planet and they never have been on earth, how do they know what a pig is ? unless pigs live in other planets besides earth .

    Robotech:

early in the series as the Zentradi plan to atack the earth or the SDF-1, Breetai once said:"It will be like shooting fish on a barrel" it seems that they knew human modism before they even had a contact with them !

Have you guys noticed the same funny things?

I think it's more of a frame-of-reference thing for the viewers than anything else. I see no indication of non-Pokemon animals (aside from humans) existing in the anime. But Meowth makes references to cats nonetheless- in the original and dub... It's just how social norms of a work's audience come into play even if the setting is in an alternate-universe.

Naw, it's just FUNI's crappy dubbing.

Digimon has a bigger problem: the fish. As in, "Come out of the sea, MARCHING FISHES!" Are the fish digimon? Or non-digimon fish who just happen to live in the Digital World? And if he's nowhere near the sea, like in the desert, say, how does Gomamon fight?

Actually, in Digimon, Joe asked him where the fish come from, and he was kind of at a loss at how it worked. But yes, gomamon can (and did) do the marching fishes attack where there clearly was no water present.
These are his last days. Mourning is over. Rage remains.

    Who could forget--

--Pokemon's infamous "cow-terpie" gag? One of the worst-dubbbed bits of dialogue on the show, IMO.
