- will FUNI release Pokemon uncut DVD's?

Volume 5 of Beyblade GRevolution will have 3 Nelavana dub episodes and 3 UNCUT Japanese Episodes with subtitles. It will be released early 2005. Volume 6 and on will follow the same trend.

No truth to the rumor but both sides know that Fruits Basket is very popular and there is material to work with.

Yeah, Daichi certainly didn't seem opposed to doing more when it was brought up at his panel at SakuraCon. I hope that everyone involved (including Funimation, because co-pros = discs in the states faster) does get around to making some more at some point though

Some Questions for Lance. (Origionally asked, and unanswered, on 10/08/04)

1. With regards to Tenchi Muyo! OVA 3, do you have an idea of how Funimation will release it? Will it be 2 discs, 3, more?

2. Will the dubbing process for Tenchi Muyo! OVA 3 involve looking at the first two OVA's in regards to matching character personalities and script decisions?
(I hope you don't deviate from the Japanese script too much)

3. Have you already started working on Tenchi Muyo! OVA 3, or will you wait until all the episodes have been released in Japan?

4. Will you be offering a special edition Tenchi disc or box?

5. Will there be any extras?

6. Can you tell I'm a big Tenchi Fan?

But do you know how many more boxsets for Yu Yu Hakusho there will be? I know you all used 2 for the Dark Tournament, so I was curious as to how you'd be breaking up the rest of the series. Also, when would the next set of boxsets be available?

Um, will the FMA boxsets be released along with the DVDs? Ala, when the first five DVDs are out, then the 1st boxset will be released? Or will the boxsets come out after all the individual DVDs are released? Thanks!

The FMA Starter Set will be released at the same time with the first DVD.

I wasn't actually refering to the starter set (which I assume means disc 1 + box). I actually meant the boxsets themselves (which would have 3 discs, I think).

My question is, will they release boxset A (discs 1-3) when/near disc 3 is released? Or will the boxsets only be released after all the discs have been released.

1. Tenchi Muyo! OVA 3 is 6 episodes. More than likely 2 volumes.
2. I've mentioned that to production.
3. Initial start has begun. Keep in mind that episode 6 will be released in 2005 in Japan. Still a ways to go on this.

I don't have Chapter Black box set dates with me right now. They haven't been set. That means quite a while.

Don't hold your breath on Fullmetal Alchemist Boxsets. Those are years from now.

There will be three metal starter boxes for Fullmetal Alchemist. The first holds 5 and the other two hold 4. The first starter box will include volume 1. The second starter box will include volume 6. The third starter box will include volume 10.

Repost: 1. Will the Captain Ginyu, Frieza, and Trunks sagas be released in DVD box sets? I predict that FUNimation might be reauthoring these DVDs before they do this as the current Frieza DVDs are reported by the Z Store to not work on Play Station 2 or X Box consoles. This is probably due to inferior authoring than nowadays and they want to do a better job this time. The Captain Ginyu DVSs were also the first DVDs ever released by FUNimation and use a completely different DVD cover format than other Z DVDs. They aren't reported by the Z Store to not work on PS2 or X Boxes, but probably have inferior authoring nevertheless. This is completely understandable though as this was their first ever release done by themselves on this format. Despite being after in the continuity, the Trunks DVDs were released two years before The Garlic Jr. Saga DVDs were. I'm assuming that again the authoring isn't up to your expectations.

(Reposting a couple of my dopey questions.)

1) For the TM!R OAV 3 release, is there ANY chance of adding some properly translated interviews with Kajishima-sensei as an extra (AIC interview, "101 Secrets" Q&A, the Q&A in one of his recent doujinshi titles)? Or barring that, might FUNi score a brand new interview with Kajishima-sensei? I can tell you that some of us hard core TM!R fans have questions we'd love to ask. So far, only Japanese fans have been able to do so which he answered in "101 Secrets" and in one of his doujinshi titles.

2) I know FUNimation isn't in the book publishing business, but for the TM!R franchise, would you consider making an exception and aquire the license to the three "Shin Tenchi Muyo!" novels and one GXP novel by Kajishima-sensei? There are a lot of TM!R fans who would LOVE to own these, and considering how FUNi does their subtitles, I can't think of a better company to treat the canon TM!R novels right!

Kudos to FUNimation for keeping the Japanese honorifics in the subtitles!
